Commuting Woes
Commuting from one place to another in metros is not just about reching destination, But reaching destination safely. In metros If we are lucky, we spend 1-2 hours everyday in commuting to our place of work and back.
Commuting here in India is now becoming evil everyday, Increase of Traffic in roads, buses and trains make things worse a lot. If you ever been to Mumbai you must experience traveling pleasure in Mumbai Local trains ( recently Angelina Jolie Went in Mumbai Trains). If you are new to the Mumbai trains you will feel like you are in a mid of a revolt where you fight for your way in and out of the train. If You want to get into the train Just stand in the center of the crowd. Then what you need to do........... Well Nothing! The crowd will do everything for your safe landing inside the train.
Below are some pointers for you to reach your destination safely.
- Watch your elbows,
- Always your hair must be tied ( Don't say it is old fashion, Your hair will be dragged)
- Be practised to stand and walk in toes.
- Be Practised in Standing in a single foot in the foot steps.
- Don't be bothered about the Ironed dresses (better don't iron). When you come out of train your dress will be crushed, torned and whatever it may happen (sounds like whomsoever it may concern, yes it is you must accept it)
Ok Now those who go by road, Don't think its easy to be on road or on train, if you are in car, commuting during peak hours, be prepared for traffic, pollution, high Decibel sounds, continous Honks in red Signals, and get ready to get high Blood pressure levels. To add to this get ready for the ever never laid roads which has only digged ( for telephone, water, seawage) everywhere, Pits (by our Rain God blessing) and muddy road (You can cultivate rice there).
Don't be jealous on the bike riders for their Z cuts and moving front in traffic so fast when you are getting struck in the Traffic. Bikers are also probably cribbing about the sun burning down on them while they look at you chilling in your AC car. Well the grass is always greener on the other side! Don't care about those small scratches (bumper down, Body gets in) in the car because of all those previous great rides because without that you have high possibility of getting hit.
Frequent Hike of petrol prices, endless traffic, unfriendly roads, feeling frustrated because of violators (actually according to them you are violating rules) which makes your commuting a mess and unpleasent one. Do you have experience in commuting in less time. Share your ideas here
