But Hospital authorities are unavailable for any comments on the health condition of Owen Wilson. I am not Vithagan but Arasangam

Vijayakanth, the captain of Tamil Film Industry is on his 150th film. Previously it was named as Vithagan, Now due to various reasons they changed the movie name as Arasangam (goverment). This movie will be produced by Captain cine films which is Vijayakanth's home production.

When asked about the name change, Vijayakanth said, "We considered a lot of names first for the movie. First we registered the movie name as MGR (shivaji effect) but later we found that it was already registered by some actor (might be kamalhasan to attack Rajni's Shivaji). Then we changed the movie name to Vithagan, which we were not interested. When we analysed various names, we finally settled into Sarkar. But the name sarkar, is of north indian asscent and we thought some might create problems for the film (who else other than Ramadoss but i cannot name it). This is the reason we changed the name to arasangam which is a tamil name."

About the movie, he said that it is a Police story (not a surpraise if Vijayakanth is acting), and most of the film will be directed in America and Canada. In particularly near the Niagra waterfalls. We thought of having a film which shows the bueaty of nayagra and so here is the movie.

Movie also has monica bedi as female lead, which will be the morale support. This will provide us a great security in finance and also for our things and lives. So as of now Vithagan is Arasangam.

Owen Wilson was rushed to hospital on Sunday afternoon after his brother Andrew found him unconscious at his house in Santa Monica. But what we all believed to be a drug overdose of some sort turned out to be something much more sinister than that. It's official – and shocking: Owen attempted to kill himself.

Things like these always make me wonder just how miserable life can be for someone to make them actually want and try to take it away and cut everything short. Owen was discovered by his brother with both wrists slashed. He had also swallowed a bottle of pills, and was taken to hospital in a critical state, but is now reportedly stable. A recent update provided by the National Enquirer states that "Owen Wilson has now been transferred from St. John's to another Los Angeles area hospital. His brothers Andrew and Luke are with him. Andrew found him after the suicide attempt and called an ambulance. Both of Owen's wrists were slashed superficially and Owen had taken an overdose of pills".

Remember that look of boyish "I don't care, life's good" look Wilson always displayed? Looks like it was nothing but a mask, and I wonder what secrets this guy has been hiding that might have made him decide to take his own life. But as everybody has been saying since this shocking news leaked out, it can't be worth it – nothing is worth taking your own life, that's for sure. We can only hope that Owen's brothers get to the bottom of this and make him see sense. And I sure hope it's not because Kate Hudson dumped him – I'm definitely sure she's not worth it. But I still can't get over the shock – he always seemed like a nice, chilled guy who didn't worry too much about anything. I suppose it's always the quiet ones that really decide to go through with it – I mean, no one actually believed that story about Paris Hilton who was released from jail because there were concerns she might do herself in (maybe those of us who were tired of seeing her face all over the news were secretly hoping she'd at least try – joke). But it's not worth it – and I'm sure Owen will realize that himself when he wakes up and will feel incredibly silly for having tried it.

Bye Bye Karthika, says Director Bala

Last week Director Bala said bye bye to Karthika from his latest film Naan Kadavul. This is the third change in the movie from heroine part.

It all started with Ajith Kumar who was the orginal hero of the film when it started. Then Baala had some differences with Ajith kumar and he removed Ajith from Naan Kadavul. Then he booked Aarya, who was the new enterant that time. Then he changed the orginal heroine of the movie to Bhavana for some time.

At one stage Baala was not satisfied with the acting skills of Bhavana and ultimate thing happened to her. Baala removed Bhavana from the film. He asked producers to book, karthika and the film unit came to periyakulam for shooting the film. Prior to periyakulam film was sheduled in Kaasi and completed sucessfully.

In Periyakulam, Karthika was supposed to act as a begger girl which was done in Top class. Entire film unit appriciated the acting skills of Karthika in begging. Mostly all believed that Karthika was the best fit for the film and was happy about it.

Recently Karthika got typhoid went to chennai for taking rest. Meanwhile Baala gave her shock by removing her from film. It is found that he was not satisfied with the acting of Karthika. During rest time, when Baala sawa rush of what he shoot till now, he was not happy with the acting of Karthika. He said producers that he is removing Karthika from Naan Kadavul and now he is in search of new heroine.

Due to these mishaps, the production cost crossed around 6 crores and still 5 crore is needed to complete the film. Baala is now becoming the bad boy for the producers of Tamil Film Industry.

HIV Infection Boosted by Washing the Penis Soon After Having Sex

Well, cleaning the penis minutes after sex does not wash away the HIV. On the contrary, for uncircumcised men, it even increases the risk of getting infected.

The team at the Makerere University Institute of Public Health made the research on 2,552 uncircumcised, HIV-negative men aged 15 to 29 from the Rakai district, Uganda. 83 % of the subjects told they washed their penises with all sex partners.

They were asked when and how they washed their penises, even if they washed it with or without clothes, at the start of the research and at 6, 12 and 24 months after that. Still, the researchers did not questioned the subjects about the type of used soap, and this is an important issue, as some African soaps are more irritating than soaps coming from other places.

Men who washed within 3 minutes after sex had a 2.3% risk of HIV infection, while those who delayed washing 10 minutes or more had a risk of just 0.4%. Scientists believe that delaying washing means a longer exposure to vaginal secretions, that could be involved in lower viral infectivity.

The vaginal secretions have a low pH (under 7 or acid) and this decreases HIV's survival capacity on the penis, while water has a neutral pH, around 7, increasing HIV's survival and the man's possible infection. "HIV likely needs to be in a fluid to cross the mucosa and infect cells. If HIV-infected fluid dries, its infectivity could decrease.", said co-author Ronald Gray, professor of population and family planning at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Thus, soaking the penis with water reactivates the HIV. "There ought to be a little time left for postcoital cuddling before you go and wash. Don't just finish and jump out of bed.", added Gray.

"The findings are counterintuitive and show why you have to do the studies, because until you do them, you just don't know. There is still so much we don't understand about the complex factors that influence HIV transmission in the genital tract, but this important study will help," said Merle Sande, an infectious disease expert at the University of Washington-Seattle and president of the Academic Alliance Foundation, that trains health workers to treat HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases in Uganda.

Bright light falls on Surya -Jyothika

Surya and Jyothika have named their baby as Diya. Jyothika gave birth to a female baby last Friday at a private hospital in Chennai. The mother and daughter were discharged from the hospital on Wednesday after a week's rest. As announced earlier, Sivakumar family performed a simple function to name the baby on Saturday at their residence.

The family members of Sivakumar have named the baby as Diya, which means 'bright light'. It synchronizes well with the baby's parent's names Surya – Jyothika! Actor Surya announced this later in another function held at Chennai.

Simbu don't care about producer council recommondations

Simbu, as we know the heavy headed actor in Tail film industry, again showed his arrogance. This time it is not any actor or actress. This time it is the producers council.Recent times, in tamil film industry, comes up with very vaugue meaning film titles like EAI, USShhh etc. To stop these type of names from films, the producer council requested the film makers and Directors to keep titles which are good.

Council called for a meeting with three recent movies which is under production. One is Pollathavan (bad man) which is starred by Dhanush who is son in law of super star Rajnikanth. Producer council called Director of Pollathavan and requested to change the name. But the director and Dhanush justified the name as genuine with an explaination that, tehre was a movie named pollathavan starred by Rajnikanth. With that movie reference director choose the name for his new film. Producer council accepted the name and there was no change in the film name.

The second film which caught in view of producers council is Sunder C's Poriki, which was called for the name change. The director tried to justify the name as Poriki means the person who takes the Bad happenings in the society. Even though the explaination is ok for council, they requested to change the name.The director also in the mood to change the name.

When the producer council called simbu with the request to change/justify the name kettavan for his new film Simbu said, it means that, the guy who went bad because of a girl. He also added that he is not going to change the name. Simbu, there are lot of actors and actress who are accepting the words of people who are providing suggestions. His films Iyarkai (nature) and E (Eswaran) turned the tamil film industry towards him. Though Iyarkai haven't given any commercial success but made the industry to look at him.

Now Jananathan, has created a story which is yet to be named. This movie features five heroines, When asked about the story of the film Jananathan said that This will be a different story not the usual one. He also added that this story was written for Kamalhasan. But due to unknown reasons, kamal hasan was out of the project and Jayam Ravi replaces Kamalhasan in this new movie.

Jananathan must clear the doubts of an ordinary film fan. Will Jeyam Ravi is best fit for a role which is meant for Kamalhasan? how Jananathan and jeyam ravi is going to justify the acting mastero's position in film.

When Nehru died, an earthquake rocked New Delhi. Cynics waited for his survivors to fight over the spoils; few predicted the democracy Nehru had been so proud of would survive. But it did. India kept Nehru's faith. There were no succession squabbles around his funeral pyre.

Today we mark the 60th anniversary of our independence. It's a historic moment for all sorts of reasons, not least of them being that many observers in 1947 doubted we would ever see that landmark. And who could blame them? The new nation was born on a subcontinent wracked with violence, ripped apart by a bloody Partition. Independent India came into being as flames blazed across the land, corpse-laden trains crossed the new frontier with Pakistan, and weary refugees abandoned everything they had ever had to seek the hope of a new life. Circumstances less propitious for a fledgling nation could scarcely have been imagined.

Yet six decades later, the country that emerged from the wreckage of the British Raj is the world's largest democracy, poised after years of rapid economic growth to take its place as one of the giants of the 21st century. An India whose very survival seemed in doubt during the conflagration of 1947 offers lessons in democracy-building that the rest of the world would do well to heed.

The odds against constructing a working democracy in India were great indeed in 1947. With a million dead, 13 million displaced, billions of rupees worth of property damaged, and the wounds of communal violence still bleeding — not to mention the challenges of administering a country newly freed from colonial rule, integrating the princely states and reorganising the divided armed forces — India's leaders could have been forgiven for demanding dictatorial powers. Indeed, in many developing countries, nationalist leaders were to make precisely that argument, saying only autocratic rule could weld a post-colonial shambles together into a modern state, and claiming that the divisions engendered by democracy would only impede development.

Fortunately for India, our leaders were greater men than that. With the Mahatma's assassination six months after Independence, Jawaharlal Nehru had no serious rival for power; the only credible alternative, Sardar Patel, died in 1950. But instead of seizing absolute power or embarking on autocratic rule, Nehru consciously went the other way. He himself was such a convinced democrat that, at the crest of his rise in the 1930s, he authored an anonymous article in the Modern Review warning Indians of the dangers of giving dictatorial temptations to Jawaharlal Nehru. "He must be checked," he wrote of himself. "We want no Caesars." And indeed, his practice when challenged within his own party was to offer his resignation; he usually got his way, but it was hardly the instinct of a Caesar.

As prime minister, Nehru spent a political lifetime trying to instil the habits of democracy in his people — a disdain for dictators, a respect for parliamentary procedures, an abiding faith in the constitutional system. He carefully nurtured the country's infant democratic institutions, paying deference to the country's ceremonial presidency and even to the largely otiose vice-presidency; he never let the public forget that these notables outranked him in protocol terms. He wrote regular letters to the chief ministers of the states, explaining his policies and seeking their feedback. He subjected himself to cross-examination in Parliament by the small, fractious but undoubtedly talented Opposition, allowing them an importance out of all proportion to their num-erical strength, because he was convinced that a strong opposition was essential for a healthy democracy. And he oblig-ed his ministers and civil servants to be just as respectful to Parliament.

That was not all. Vijay T Rajender, the acclaimed director of Tamil Film Industry who is famous not for his movies but for the single story point of not uniting hero and heroine who are in love with each other in the movies. Elaborating further, he added that the Indian event will be comparable or even better than some of the best events in terms of production, management, integrity and display. "It's an all-India event and all eligible participants are welcome to send in their entries. A special website is being launched for the purpose and is expected to go online soon."

Internationally the event is a big hit and guests pay up to Rs 25,000 per ticket to gain entry. When queried, Sanjay refused to elaborate, "We are talking to a few big corporate houses for sponsorship and do not want to give any details at this stage," was all that he would say. According to industry insiders a large corporate having interests in the spirits and aviation business is in advanced talks with the organisers. So also are a packaged drinking water company and a music and aviation training major.

The winner of the Indian contest is expected to participate in the International pageant, say sources. Internationally, there are three events - Ms Bikini International, Ms Bikini World and Ms Bikini of the Universe.
