The Wise Woman

The Wise Woman

A wise woman who was traveling in the mountains found a precious stone in a stream. The next day she met another traveler who was hungry, and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food. The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and asked the woman to give it to him. She did so without hesitation.

The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune. He knew the stone was worth enough to give him security for a lifetime. But, a few days later, he came back to return the stone to the wise woman. "I've been thinking," he said. "I know how valuable this stone is, but I give it back in the hope that you can give me something even more precious. Give me what you have within you that enabled you to give me this stone."

Sometimes it's not the wealth you have but what's inside you that others need

dont be a glass be a lake

Dont be a glass be a lake

The old Master instructed the unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it. "How does it taste?" the Master asked. "Awful," spat the apprentice. The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake.

The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the apprentice swirled his handful of salt into the lake, the old man said, "Now drink from the lake." As the water dripped down the young man's chin, the Master asked, "How does it taste?" "Good!" remarked the apprentice. "Do you taste the salt?" asked the Master. "No," said the young man.

The Master sat beside this troubled young man, took his hands, and said, "The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same. But the amount we taste the 'pain' depends on the container we put it into. So when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things ..... Stop being a glass. Become a lake!"

To All Married Couples and Singles Who Intend To Get Married.

To All Married Couples and Singles Who Intend To Get Married.

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes. Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why? I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to a lovely girl called Dew. I did'nt love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company. She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Dew so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I did'nt have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn't want anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month's time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day. She requested that everyday for the month's duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Dew about my wife s divorce conditions. She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully.

My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me. On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn't tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily. Suddenly it hit me. She had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mum out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute.

I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day. But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked intimacy.

I drove to office... jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind... I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished. Then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart. Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart. The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property , the money in the bank, blah..blah.. blah.

These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse's friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

If you don't share this, nothing will happen to you, but if you do, you just might save a marriage.

SPECIES - THE AWAKENING

SPECIES - THE AWAKENING

Species The awakening movie reviewThe origin of the SPECIES - and I'm not talking Darwinism here…or maybe I am - began with a new, nubile and nude Natasha Henstridge rousing every male genre fan's unanswered libido as Sil, the Sexual Terrestrial who made first contact, second contact and then some with various human males. Sil had some very close encounters of the coitus kind searching for the perfect mate to copulate with - and kill. Talk about your one-night stands. Speaking of Darwin, I can't help but make reference to his survival of the fittest theory - for that is not only every female alien's desire in the resulting movie series, but it actually applies to these films. This sexual SF saga should have ended after the original, which I actually enjoyed: Ben (Call Me "Sir") Kingsley and breasts in an alien-on-the-rampage flick - you had me at Kingsley! But its box-office success spawned (no pun intended) a big-screen follow-up with Henstridge, then a direct-to-DVD sequel with Sunny Mabrey taking over the lead role. Both were unnecessary, and followed the template of the first film, with the redeeming element of excessive nudity drawing horny genre fans like a bra-less Jeri Ryan at an SF convention.

The SPECIES franchise is basically softcore, Cinemax-After-Dark genre porn. I'm a genre fan myself, but there's something weird about getting your rocks off while watching chicks turning into aliens, ample cleavage or not. SPECIES - THE AWAKENING's Helena Mattsson is the latest blonde bombshell to essay another alien on the hunt for a mate and some murder, but at this point in time, I'm so fatigued by the formula that I wish these horny hybrids would try Internet dating and just cut to the chase. The verse-chorus-verse of hot alien babe eager to do the horizontal bop with a guy in order to produce a child is so old by now that the filmmakers should start looking for COCOON-esque pods in pools to rejuvenate the series. I'll give them Wilfred Brimley's number.

There's one reason why SPECIES films are still made, and that's because they make money. Gordon Gekko may believe that greed is good, but that doesn't translate to good filmmaking. While Mattsson is easy on the eyes and the movie was made with a certain degree of competency, SPECIES - THE AWAKENING (debuting on the Sci Fi Channel this Saturday, September 29 ahead of its DVD release next Tuesday, October 2) is day-old bread. Give me something fresh, please! I will grant director Nick Lyon and scripter Ben Ripley (who also penned the third installment) some credit, and recognize that they tried to take the series in a different and more sympathetic direction, but there's only so much you can do when you're dealing with a mimeograph machine.

The story this time around has University professor Miranda (Mattsson) discovering that she's an alien after metamorphosing, murdering a dude and waking up naked the next day (haven't we all had nights like that?). Her uncle Tom (no Harriet Beecher Stowe jokes, please) explains to her that he's not so avuncular (I love that word, but is there one for aunt-like qualities?), and actually created her as an extraterrestrial hybrid with some of his scientific buddies. Ben Cross plays Tom, and is miscast in the role; he's supposed to be essaying a remorseful, caring man who wants to help Miranda, but his performance comes across as distant and cold. I've seen more emotion in Al Gore.

There isn't as much nudity this time out, which might cause some science friction with fans who want more skin and less sci-fi, or horror enthusiasts who crave more breasts than blood. But Mattsson does a nice job with her role - she's not just some foreign supermodel with a pretty face spitting out dialogue. This entry is more about angst than anger, which is one of its redeeming qualities. Miranda wants to quell her instincts, not pursue them. Another attraction is the addition of Marlene Favela as the villainous hybrid who serves as Miranda's antagonist. Come the third act, there's some serious girl-on-girl action - but this being a SPECIES film, that involves hot-chicks-turned-aliens getting it on in violent fashion, fighting more viciously than Rosie O'Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck on THE VIEW.

If you're an SF-horror fan who's a sucker for sequels, you'll watch this on Sci Fi. If you're an SF-horror fan who's a sucker for sequels with celebrity skin, you'll rent the unrated DVD (on which the movie looks and sounds very slick, though there are no special features). There are many more films worse than SPECIES - THE AWAKENING, but there are many more that are better. I would suggest skipping this AWAKENING and instead reading Kate Chopin's THE AWAKENING, which is also about a woman looking for the perfect mate. There aren't any aliens or graphic sex scenes in that story, but I expect you'll enjoy it more.

Precious Lesson of Life

Precious Lesson of Life

There was once a lonely girl who longed desperately for love. One day while she was walking in the woods she found two starving song birds. She took them home and put them in a small gilded cage. She nurtured them with love and the birds grew strong. Every morning they greeted her with a marvelous song. The girl felt great love for the birds. She wanted their singing to last forever.

One day the girl left the door to the cage open. The larger and stronger of the two birds flew from the cage. The girl watched anxiously as he circled high above her. She was so frightened that he would fly away and she would never see him again that as he flew close, she grasped at him wildly. She caught him in her fist. She clutched him tightly within her hand. Her heart gladdened at her success in capturing him. Suddenly she felt the bird go limp. She opened her hand stared in horror at the dead bird. Her desperate clutching love had killed him.

She noticed the other bird teetering on the edge of the cage. She could feel his great need for freedom. His need to soar into the clear, blue sky. She lifted him from the cage and tossed him softly into the air. The bird circled once, twice, three times. The girl watched delighted at the bird's enjoyment. Her heart was no longer concerned with her loss.

She wanted the bird to be happy. Suddenly the bird flew closer and landed softly on her shoulder. It sang the sweetest melody, she had ever heard.

The fastest way to lose love is to hold on too tight, the best way to keep love is to give it -- WINGS! N set it freeee

Rain and Rainbows

Rain and Rainbows

Lately I've noticed a lot of tragedy in my life and the lives of those around me.

And I've noticed that the only way I've been able to deal with it is by surrounding myself with those who care for me, and I've also noticed that my friends that take the longest to heal are those who spend the most time without their friends and family.

As much as I try to be there for my friends, some would rather be alone and deal with it on their own, and it hurts me to see them hurt.

A few thoughts...

Think of rain as the pain you're feeling in the moment. Think of it as something you drive through, you walk through, that no matter how fast you run or drive, it still engulfs you and makes you wet, and cold.

And maybe you feel alone in that rain. Maybe you don't think it will ever stop, at least not until you're soaked to the skin. The rain is coming down until it stops, and no sooner.

You don't know when it will stop, neither do I. But go and get an umbrella, or look for shelter. It will stop. Trust me. Even Noah only had to go through 40 days of rain.

Think of the rainbow as the time after the rain stops. Think of the beauty of the rainbow, how the many colors couldn't be any more beautiful if an artist drew them for you. Think of the sun, peeking through the clouds.

Think of how the world is a more beautiful place because of the rain, and because of the rainbow, and how nothing can grow without rain, and how we can't enjoy pleasure without pain. Realize the rain was a temporary, though necessary, part of your life.

Don't forget your umbrella and your shelter. Surround yourself with those who love you, who can give you shelter, and warmth, and help you dry off and make it through the storm.

Make it a great day! Enjoy the rain, because after the rain comes the rainbow.

Phil Gerbyshak, motivational speaker and self-improvement advocate, challenges you to "Stop having a nice day... and Make it Great!" His website at http://MakeItGreat.org is updated regularly with thoughts about how you can take control of your life and stop letting life take control of you.

A BRIDGE TOO FAR

A BRIDGE TOO FAR

The Lord surveyed the Ram Setu and said "Hanuman, how diligently and strenuously you and your vanara sena had built this bridge several centuries back. It is remarkable that it has withstood the ravages of the climatic and geographical changes over centuries. It is indeed an amazing feat especially considering the fact that a bridge at Hyderabad built by Gammon using latest technology collapsed the other day even before they could stick the posters on its pillars."

Hanuman with all humility spoke "Jai Sri Ram, it is all because of your grace. We just scribbled your name on the bricks and threw them in the sea and they held. No steel from TISCO or cement from Ambuja or ACC was ever used. But Lord, why rake up the old issue now."

Ram spoke "Well, Hanuman some people down there want to demolish the bridge and construct a canal. The contract involves lot of money and lot of money will be made. They will make money on demolition and make more money on construction. "

Hanuman humbly bowed down and said "Why not we go down and present our case"

Ram said "Times have changed since we were down there. They will ask us to submit age proof and we don't have either a birth certificate or school leaving certificate. We traveled mainly on foot and sometimes in bullock carts and so we don't have a driving license either. As far as the address proof is concerned the fact that I was born at Ayodhya is itself under litigation for over half a century, If I go in a traditional attire with bow and arrow, the ordinary folks may recognize me but Arjun Singh may take me to be some tribal and, at the most, offer a seat at IIT under the reserved category. Also, a God cannot walk in dressed in a three-piece suit and announce his arrival. It would make even the devotees suspicious. So it is dilemma so to say."

"I can vouch for you by saying that I personally built the bridge."

"My dear, Anjani putra, it will not work. They will ask you to produce the lay-out plan, the project details, including financial outlay and how the project cost was met and the completion certificate. Nothing is accepted without documentary evidence in India. You may cough but unless a doctor certifies it, you have no cough. A pensioner may present himself personally but the authorities do not take it as proof. He has to produce a life-certificate to prove that he is alive. It is that complicated."

"Lord can't understand these historians. Over the years you have given darshan once every hundred years to saints like Surdas, Tulsidas, Saint Thyagaraja, Jayadeva, Bhadrachala Ramdas and even Sant Tukaram and still they disbelieve your existence and say Ramayana is a myth. The only option, I see, is to re-enact Ramayana on earth and set the government records straight once for all."

Lord smiled "It isn't that easy today. If I try to break the bow, then Soniya Gandhi will file a case on me for destroying a public property. So I must rely on the dating website like http://www.bepenfriends.com to marry Sita. Ravan is apprehensive that he may look like a saint in front of Karunanidhi. I also spoke to his mama Mareecha, who appeared as a golden deer to tempt Sita maiyya when I was in the forest and he said that he won't take a chance of stepping on earth as long as Salman Khan is around."

How to Speak Your Way to Success

How to Speak Your Way to Success

In order to be successful, we must first define what success means to us, and that means getting clear about what you want, writing it down, and thinking big! If you are going to be successful in creating the life of your dreams, you have to believe that you are capable of making it happen. You have to believe you have the right stuff, that you are able to pull it off.

You have to believe in yourself. Whether you call it self-esteem, self-confidence, or self-assurance, it is a deep-seated belief that you have what it takes - the abilities, inner resources, talents, and skills to create your desired results. Ultimately, you must learn to control your self-talk, eliminate any negative and limiting beliefs, and maintain a constant state of positive expectations.

Control Your Self-Talk...

Researchers have found that the average person thinks as many as 50,000 thoughts a day. Sadly, many of those thoughts are negative - I'm not management material... I'll never lose weight... It doesn't matter what I do, nothing ever works out for me.

This is what psychologists call victim language. Victim language actually keeps you in a victim state of mind. It is a form of self-hypnosis that lulls you into a belief that you are unlovable and incompetent.

In order to get what you want from life, you need to give up this victim language and start talking to yourself like a winner - I can do it... I know there is a solution... I am smart enough and strong enough to figure this out... Everything I eat helps me maintain my perfect body weight.

You Are Always Programming Your Subconscious Mind... Your subconscious mind is like the crew of a ship. You are it's captain. It is your job to give the crew orders. And when you do this, the crew takes everything you say literally.

The crew (your subconscious) has no sense of humor. It just blindly follows orders. When you say, "Everything I eat goes straight to my hips," the crew hears that as an order: Take everything she eats, turn it into fat and put it on her hips.

On the other hand, if you say, "Everything I eat helps me maintain my perfect body weight," the crew will begin to make that into reality by helping you make better food choices, exercise, and maintain the right metabolism rate for you body.

This power of your subconscious mind is the reason you must become very vigilant and pay careful attention to your spoken and internal statements. Unfortunately, most people don't realize they are committing negative self-talk, which is why it is best to enlist another person - your success partner - in monitoring each other's speaking. You can have a signal for interrupting each other when you use victim language.

Use Affirmations to Build Self-Confidence...

One of the most powerful tools for building worthiness and self-confidence is the repetition of positive statements until they become a natural part of the way you think. These "affirmations" act to crowd out and replace the negative orders you have been sending your crew (your subconscious mind) all these years. I suggest that you create a list of 10 to 20 statements that affirm your belief in your worthiness and your ability to create the life of your dreams.

Of course, what to believe is up to you, but here are some examples of affirmations that have worked for others in the past:

* I am worthy of love, joy and success.
* I am smart and make wise choices.
* I am loveable and capable.
* I create anything I want.
* I am able to solve any problem that comes my way.
* I can handle anything that life hands me.
* I have all the energy I need to do everything I want to do.
* I am attracting all the right people into my life.

Believing in Yourself is an Attitude...

Believing in yourself is a choice. It's an attitude you develop over time. It's now your responsibility to take charge of your own self-concept and your beliefs. It might help to know that the latest brain research now indicates that with enough positive self-talk and positive visualization combined with the proper training, coaching, and practice, anyone can learn to do almost anything.

You must choose to believe that you can do anything you set your mind to - anything at all - because, in fact, you can!

Seductive art of french kissing

Seductive art of french kissing

Here's How:

1. Set the scene. Make sure that the mood and time are right.

2. Relax! Take a deep breath and let go of any tension in your neck and shoulders.

3. Put your arms around the person you want to kiss.

4. Start off with a normal kiss, not too firm, not too aggressive. Closing your eyes is optional.

5. In mid kiss, gently open your mouth and softly nudge the other persons mouth open using your tongue.

6. Again, not too aggressively, move your tongue inside the other persons mouth and playfully touch their tounge.

7. Read the other persons body language, if they seem tense or start to pull away, stop what you are doing.

8. If they open their mouth more or otherwise indicate they like the kiss, keep on doing what you have been only with a little more passion.

9. As the kissing gets going saliva build up can be a problem, don't forget to swallow.

10. Make sure you keep your tongues relaxed but your lips tight (saliva again), you don't want the kiss to turn messy.

Tips:

1. Don't forget to breathe.
2. Since French Kissing is "wetter" than other kinds of kissing it is a good idea to start with dry lips, don't lick them first.
3. If one of you have braces you can still French Kiss, you just have to be more careful and not as forceful when things get passionate.
4. If both of you wear braces you can still French Kiss, you just have to be very gentle and avoid touching teeth.
5. French Kissing takes practice, but at least it is fun to practice this one!

Bipasha's man and Katrina's man at loggerheads

Katrina KaifBipasha Basu and Katrina Kaif are co-stars in a yet-to-be-titled Yashraf film. What is the big deal, you say? Well, their boyfriends are in their own version of a cold war, against each other.

Bipasha and Katrina were co-stars in Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, but things had not soured between John and Sallu bhai then. Now the two grown-up boys do not even acknowledge each other in public.

Wonder what Sallu has to say to Kat about this.

The story so far – Salman, John and Bipasha were a part of an entourage performing at a concert abroad. Since the organizer was Salman's friend, the latter asked John and Bipasha to lower their rates. Both refused, and this irked Salman, otherwise known for his heart of gold. Since then, all has not been well between them.

Bollywood actress racist statement brings condemnation

Bollywood actress racist statement brings condemnation

A Bollywood actress has come under harsh criticism for making a racist statement while interviewing for her latest film Golmaal.

The film is number 8 in the UK charts and some groups are considering whether to call for a boycott in British cinemas.

The actress, Rimi Sen, said in an interview last week: "I play a sweet and beautiful girl in the film. The best thing that I like about the film is that though it has four heroes, I am the only heroine. Rohit Shetty is amazing as a director. He can make even a black African look pretty."

The comments were published by the Indian Bollywood website Glamsham.com and later by an automated news feed on Yahoo News.

The British African group Ligali has openly condemned her statement and said the fact that the majority of readers saw Sen's comments as acceptable exposed "how normalised anti-African ideology is within Bollywood and its audiences".

The organisation told AIM magazine it was unfortunate that "it would be unlikely that her racist comments will hinder her career or that of the journalist and media organisation that published this anti-African statement".

Jaspreet Pandohar, Bollywood film critic for BBC Movies Online told AIM that Sen's comments were "shameful but not entirely surprising".

"It not only reflects her ignorance of other cultures and belief that black people can't be naturally beautiful, but also illustrates India and Bollywood's long-running obsession with fair skin."

She added: "The sad thing is Rimi probably doesn't even realise her comments can be construed as offensive. It would be practically unheard of a British actor making these kinds of racist comments in the open and to the media."

There have been other recent debacles.

Ms Pandohar says journalists were caught surprised at a recent London press conference for the Bollywood blockbuster Kkrish.

At the event, well known actor Hrithik Roshan made a passing comment about how he knew it was time to leave Shanghai and Hong Kong after six weeks of stunt training and go home when his eyes started "turning into little slits like the Chinese".

Attract Success

Attract Success

Five years ago, while at a party, my friend Sandy Davidson and I realized we had a lot in common. We both went to Cornell University. We both lived in Atlanta. We were married to great women (I hope my wife reads this). We both had dreams of living near the beach and we both wanted a lot more fulfillment from our lives and careers.

A year later I made the move to Ponte Vedra beach. Sandy was still in Atlanta, unhappy with his job and life. Then a few years later I received a call from Sandy.

He and his wife Jenna had made the move to St. Simons Island, Georgia, only about an hour from where I live. Jenna obtained a job selling real estate while Sandy went to work selling home sites for a national land development company.

When we went to visit Sandy and Jenna not too long ago, I asked them how they made the move- how they went from where they were to where they wanted to be. Their story is a lesson for us all.

They bought a subscription to Coastal Living Magazine and started looking at all the pictures of houses on the beach. They bought a regular spiral bound notebook and on the front of the notebook they taped a picture of an ocean front home.

Every week they held a planning meeting where they wrote their goals, ideas, dreams and plans inside their "move to the beach" notebook. They painted their Atlanta condo "ocean blue" and decorated it as if it was a beach cottage. They hung pictures from Coastal Living Magazine on their walls.

Each day they visualized themselves living and working near the beach while they investigated job opportunities in various coastal communities. While their friends and family thought they were crazy for trying to move to a small beach town with a small job market, Sandy and Jenna were focusing their energy and transforming their vision into reality.

Now that reality includes a beautiful home in St. Simons Island, just minutes from a beach, their own rental property and very prosperous careers in real estate development. They are succeeding beyond their wildest dreams and it is not by accident. Their recipe is something we all can follow...

They had a powerful vision - If you can see it, you can create it. What you think about you attract. The more you think about something the more it shows up in your life.

They acted as if it was already happening by decorating their condo like a beach cottage - When you act "as if" you become a magnet and receive the energy you project.

They wrote down their goals and plans - By writing down your goals and plans the energy becomes more powerful and real.

They met often to discuss these plans - With a team approach you create a powerful collective energy that propels you forward.

They ignored the doubters - When your vision, belief, and trust are more powerful than anyone's negativity, you will accomplish amazing things.

They invested their time and energy to make this happen - our focused energy, attention and action transform thoughts and ideas into reality.

They made the move and took a chance - To achieve great things action is required-often in the face of fear and uncertainty.

So now I ask, "What success do you want to attract?" Whether you want to start a business, increase your sales, obtain a promotion, get fit, or make a life change, you must start by projecting powerful energy that attracts success into your life. Start thinking about what you want to create.

Start writing down your goals. Think about your vision and your goals often. Place your attention and energy on the very things you want to create. Take a break from the radio and television and spend your energy broadcasting your goals and dreams over your own media network.

And of course... take action. Action is necessary. You must take the leap. You must put forth the energy to transform your vision into realty.

So have fun, work hard, enjoy the moment and trust that the energy you project, you will attract and receive. It worked for Sandy and Jenna and I believe it will work for you.

Sending Positive Energy Your Way,
- Jon

Genelia is in love

Genelia is in love

GeneliaRight from the days of Boys, actress Harini alias Genelia is being gossiped with her co-star in that film, Bharath. The close link between them was often exposed by media but the tight-lipped lovers kept silent over the issue.

Some reports have even gone to the extent of alleging that Genelia is in a live-in relationship with Bharath! In her recent interview to a Tamil daily, Genelia opened up her heart for the first time and said something about her love affair. But she denied the rumours of her link with Bharath or
live-in relationship with him.

She said: "Bharath is one of my very close friends. Both our families are extremely close and shares most of the occasions together. But I never stayed with him at any stage and any place. Without knowing these facts how could media people criticise me?"

She further said: "Falling in love is common to every girl at my age. I was also in love once, but not now. I also experienced the heartache due to my lost love. But that pain helped me a lot in my career." The actress is now busy with 3 mega budget films in Tamil and 3 films in Telugu. She has also signed a Hindi film with Aamir Khan.

That why was she born a female?

That why was she born a female?

More than fourteen hundred years have passed since the age of ignorance and yet in this new century I still ask myself the same question as the women of that time must have asked. Why was I born a female? Is it a fault if I am born a female? It's not like I chose to be born this way. Why is it that after so many years of advancement in science and technology as well as psychology and philosophy we still have women wondering what the defect in being born "NOT Man".

When will man truly learn to respect woman? When will he give her the rights she has rather than ONLY talk about her rights? I've seen tons of men talk about rights of women and especially the rights Islam has given to women. I hear them talk and then I see them insult their own wives. Mothers gave them birth so they have to be respected… sharing blood and milk with sibling sisters makes them feel a certain way towards their sisters. Why is it that the role of a wife lacks the same respect and gratitude? When will men open their eyes and appreciate the hard work their wives do?

These women who left their family, their fathers' peaceful abode to take on the duties of taking care of him and his children along with his family are yet are foreigners in some shape or form. Do husbands think a marriage contract means that now they own these women? They are the protectors of their wives but they do not own them. Wives have to live a certain way, as liked by her husband and in-laws. They are expected to give up their own identity so that they may merge into the identity of their husbands. Yes, it is a good thing to do for it is the house is a home because of her. To what extent must this happen and what about her unique identity?

She is continuously ignored. Once married, how many times do husbands remember to bring flowers without any occasion? Or say simple gestures like "thank you" and "I appreciate it" and "I love you" and more importantly show with their actions that they actually mean all that they say! How easy it is to say those sweet things that are but words that never take form of an action.

No offence to men who are exceptions to the rule but in general this is the case. Man of the house has to have everything his way and he forgets to see the needs of the so-called 'queen' of the house. Queen! That's right… If you want to learn sweet talk that melts the heart of a foolish woman learn it from a man of course. Somehow they don't fail at it and always know how to make her feel better… Two kind words, simple gestures that say I care and that melts the heart of a wife who truly loves him. What next?

She is walked all over like a doormat... At the end of the day a wife is like a doormat but of course no one will admit to it. Men will talk about how the husbands should treat their wives but they will fail to see how they treat their own wives. Yes, there are cases when the wife is clever enough to know how to twist her husband's arm without him feeling the pain or knowing about it. At least that woman does not suffocate and is not a prisoner at home. Though I don't agree with that form of marriage either.

Whatever happened to men and women being complementary to each other? If man is given the right to lead the house there is a reason for it but that does not imply he can misuse his powers. Oh! But, even if he does, it is not till the after life that he will be questioned and perhaps his wife will forgive him and he will make it clear? That is what is thought of traditional eastern women. That they should suffer, tolerate and be patient through everything because Allah will be happy with them. The husbands on the other hand will somehow get away with whatever they do coz they are the husband, THE MAN!

Allah gave both man and woman rights. A wife has rights over her husband and a husband has rights over his wife. It is not just that the husband has rights. BUT, he being a man and the world being a man's world and the Sheikh being a man somehow forget that the women have rights too or take those rights away! Why isn't the bride told before her Nikkah that she can place the right to ask for divorce in her marriage contract? Why does anyone not tell her that? Why does the groom not like that condition? Why do the elders not like to hear of it? Why is it taken for granted that the women MUST clean and cook and do housework? When by Islam she does not have to do all that. Indeed, it is only a privilege she bestows upon her husband by doing all that while it is his duty to make sure she is fed and clothed and has a place to live! How many men actually think about it like that! And why not??? WHY NOT! I will not just blame men this time. I also put the burden on women! Sorry to say, but it is the women, mothers or grandmothers who were raised being told that this was why they were born. So, they teach the same to their daughters.

They will say that daughters are born for the kitchen and the house and bringing up of kids and taking care of the men of the house. Men are responsible for the outside duties and don't have to do any housework. You can question me "Isn't it true?" Yes, it is true that in the long run that is the responsibility of the female. What you have to understand is that I am not against women being housewives and I am not against women taking on their responsibilities of the house. I am against women being taken for granted when they take on the role of a wife. I am against the fact that they are not appreciated for the housework they do which is not their ultimate duty but a favor on her husband. She was not born to do housework rather she is doing a favor if she does the housework. Do you see a difference?

Yes it is her utmost duty to bring up well-mannered children but is it not true that she can ask her husband to pay her for the feeding of his children. How many mothers actually ask the father of their children to pay them or refuse to feed their own babies? There will be some but the majority will feed their kids. Again! Husbands and others assume that this is the wife/mother's duty. It is not appreciated rather taken for granted. But, let's look at the husband who comes home tired from work and wants a hot home cooked meal, and then he seeks a set of nice washed clothes ready to wear. Maybe, he is so tired that he asks for a message? He wants this and that because he spent a hard day at work and is tired.

He can't go out and the wife understands that her husband is tired. Men will always in some way show and make clear that they have been working hard and do all this work outside and are tired. Yes, it is his wife who can and should make him feel better and relaxed when he comes home. I am not against that nor do I disagree to that. My point is only that a man will never let it go unnoticed that he does hard work and gets tired and should be appreciated for the bringing home of money. The woman on the other hand will mostly be ignored of her work at home.

It is a trend, not a rule. It is the general case, not the way it is supposed to be. A woman can make her house a home and a heaven for her husband and children but she cannot do so if she is not given the credit and motivation for doing so. She does not ask for much but attention, love, respect and understanding from the one for who she left everything to form a home with. If she wore a new dress, she wants him to notice her. If she made a nice dish, she wants him to appreciate it. If she is having a tough day she will be cheered up by a simple gesture. If she has been worn out and tired yet not said so, she will feel better if he simply admits having noticed that she has been working hard and is tired.

When was the last time you, a husband, told your wife that you loved her? That you appreciated all that she has done for you? That you are thankful that she stood by you? When was the last time you made her smile? When was the last time you knew she was smiling from within her soul and not for showing on her face only? Look back to the years you have known each other, how many of those days did you keep her happy compared to the days you made her sad? Yes, the same applies to the wife as well.

My point is that no matter how long you have been married for, it is never too late to appreciate one another. Never too late to bring happiness in the life of your spouse and make her feel thankful that she has you for a husband. Never to late to think about what if tomorrow the other was no longer there. Especially, to make sure that your wife is not asking herself the same question over and over again… That why was she born a female?

It was wonderful to just sit there and watch Shah Rukh act. One day, he took us to watch Don. I was sitting next to him. It was the most memorable day of my life.

Toughest moment: The toughest part was wearing that goalie gear. It was claustrophobic and hurt. I had to wear it for 15 hours. We shot in August, September and October, so it was really hot, and we were outdoors all the time.

SRK moment: We played a mock hockey match before we started shooting. I was in Shah Rukh Khan's team. That was exciting.

Meeting Shah Rukh for the first time was also very memorable. Also, I must say, I was the most pampered of the lot and loved it!

Toughest moment: There was a scene where I kept mixing up my dialogues -- from 'Sir ji' to ' Saab ji'. I took a lot of takes. I actually started crying as I feeling so bad about wasting Shah Rukh's time. But he was very patient.

What Next: I'm in college right now, so studies are my priority. And more hockey of course.

The hockey experience: The training process was exhilarating. I think it was one of my most significant experiences up till now.

SRK moment: The very first day I met him, I was sitting on this tiny stool and he approached me and asked if I would share the seat with him. I immediately offered him the seat but he insisted we'd share. I was speechless.

Toughest Moment: Learning hockey. Also, the scene between Bindya and I where we patch up after the Korea match. The scene looks great on screen but had taken lots of takes.

What Next: At the moment, I've got my fingers crossed! I'd love to work with Yash Raj again.

Meet Chak De India - Girls Anaitha acting as Aliya in film Name: Anaitha (Aliya)
Age: 23
Hails from: Bangalore . Presently living in Mumbai.

SRK moment: I love the time when we win the world cup. The way SRK takes the news of our victory is to be seen to be believed. He was so restrained. It was too good.

We were shooting in a stadium in Melbourne . Every day we would shoot in an empty stadium. The most memorable day of the shoot was when Shah Rukh came to the stadium. There was a huge crowd to see him. We don't know how the news spread! And every time the people saw him, there was a huge roar. We felt so proud to be a part of that.

Toughest moment: For three months, we played hockey -- in the heat, the cold and the rain. Acting was secondary. I am not a player, but I've become a sportsperson. I was a zero in sports before this film.

What's next: I am doing Nagesh Kukunoor's Ashayein.

Meet Chak De India - Girls Arya acting as Gul in film Name: Arya (Gul)
Age: 20
Hails from: Bangalore .

How she bagged the role: One of the assistant directors called me. He had seen my photo in a magazine, as I'm a model. I auditioned and was selected.

SRK moment: Acting with Shah Rukh was a dream come true. I grew up watching his movies. He took us twice to watch movies -- once it was Don, and the second time, Dhoom: 2. He also took us to a night club once. It was fun!

Shah Rukh always gave us tips and pointers on how to act.

I think his favourite was Chitrashi (Komal) because she was the youngest among us. She was the baby of the team, so he would pamper her.

Toughest moment: The most difficult part was when I was not well and had to report to play hockey. Another problem was my Hindi diction. I had to learn the language. All the girls would talk to me only in Hindi to make sure I learnt.

What next: I have a couple of Tamil offers.

Meet Chak De India - Girls Seema acting as Rani in film Name: Seema (Rani)
Hails from: Uttar Pradesh

How she bagged the role: I got a call from Yash Raj's casting director. I auditioned and rest is history.

The hockey experience: We spent three months together and all of us became close friends.

What Next: I will be directing a play in Bangalore .

Meet Chak De India - Girls Chon Chon acting as Molly in film Name: Chon Chon (Molly)
Age: 24
Hails from: Manipur

How she bagged the role: I got the role through my friends. I heard that they were looking for a girl with features like mine.

The hockey experience: The team was fantastic. The girls helped each other. It was really a good experience. I am proud to be part of such a team. We were from all parts of India . People should copy us to learn about unity.

Everything was memorable and a new experience for me. The training helped. The girls were together the whole day. We used to sing songs. We cried when the shooting got over.

Toughest moment: There was a scene when we had to fight with some boys. There are a lot of guys in this shot. We had to kick them, pick them up and throw them around. It was very difficult for me to maintain a fighting attitude.

What next: If I get a good film offer, I will go for it.

Meet Chak De India - Girls Raynia acting as Raynia in film Name: Raynia (Raynia)
Age: 21
Hails from: Mumbai

How she bagged the role: I play hockey very well. I saw an article in the papers and called them. Then I went and met them. I was selected.

The hockey experience: It was fun and initially, a lot of hard work. We used to wake up at 4.30 am to play from 6 am to noon. We also had grilling practice sessions in the gym and swimming pool.

SRK moment: Working with SRK was memorable. One day, he took us to see Don. Later, we partied all night until 8 am. He gave us advice and tips. The little moments add up.

What next: I don't have any offers. I am going to play hockey. I played for my school, college and Mumbai. I was selected for the state but I did not go. I work with Spice jet as part of the ground support staff.

The client is one of the many manufacturers of womens undergarments and wanted to come up with a path breaking campaign which will make him a brand to reckon with , in a category where every brand looks the same.. (oops.. no pun intended..)

The agency weren't experienced in womens lingerie, but had some experience in sanitary napkins and a not so famous fairness lotion for women. And the client wasn't too convinced about the agency's bragging about how easy it is going to be for them to make the lingerie brand like they did with the napkins, simply because they couldn't make a connect between sanitary napkins and lingerie (oops again.. no pun intended..)

No curves and curls... no fashion photographers.. thats all boring..Said the clients man ...something other than that..

The agency group sat together for brain storming..

'A lot of guys stare' let that be the theme.. and let us make them uncomfortable.. wriggle with discomfort..and run to buy our stuff- chuckled the strategy guy..

'He admires the new way i look'.. what about that... let us show 12 somethings to 35 somethings in our lingerie and make a common statement... differed the visualizing guy..'admiration comes with our brand lingerie'.

Why this "he" obsession?..One creative junior opened up.. why cant we make her 'feel proud' on her own..?

No dear, sex sells.. the strategy guy displayed intolerance.. and in some cases only sex sells

Make the wife stand before the man.. let her undress slowly with accompanying salsa music.. -one 'sex sells' guy started explaining...and let the man admire with 'wow'.. thats gr888 etc... and when she is about to take off the lingerie.. let him say- no please. thats very sexy. don't take it off...

Rubbish.. muttered the junior in complete desperation..

And we have to make it bold and brave...the gyan went on.. like the FCUK campaigns..

we will not tell them.and shock them... how zz that..?

The junior went back to his college days when somebody told him this fantastic story about getting surprised..

GIRL: I have done a great sin. I called my boyfriend a BASTARD.

PSYCHIATRIST: Well now, that's not a nice thing to call anyone, so what did he do to deserve that?

GIRl: Well, he kissed me.

PSYCHIATRIST: You mean like this?

GIRL: .. Yes!

PSYCHIATRIST: Well that's no reason to call him a BASTARD.

GIRL: But, he put his hand in my top.

PSYCHIATRIST: You mean like this?

GIRL: Yes!

PSYCHIATRIST: Well that's no reason to call him a BASTARD.

GIRL: But, he took my clothes off.

PSYCHIATRIST: You mean like this?

GIRL: Yes!

PSYCHIATRIST: Well that's no reason to call him a BASTARD.

GIRL: But, he had sex with me!

PSYCHIATRIST: You mean like this?

GIRL: .Yes!

PSYCHIATRIST: Well that's no reason to call him a BASTARD.

GIRL: But, he told me he has AIDS.

PSYCHIATRIST: BASTARD!!!!!

Guess who got the shock???
