Reivews on News papers of India - The Hindu

The Hindu (http://www.hinduonnet.com) is one of the most popular and largest English newspaper in India with a strong circulation in South India. The Hindu newspaper started in 1878 with a principles of fairness and justice. The Hindu is headquarted in Chennai (Previously Madras).

In olden days having and reading The Hindu newspaper is like a status symbol in most of the South Indian Houses. IT provides valuable and trusted information which stood into a very straight and fearless Journalism. Most of the times The Hindu defines the standards for how a newspaper must act in the society. It has a readership of around 3 million in India and abroad. The National Readership Survey for the year 2006 rated The Hindu as the second highest read English Newspaper in India after The Times of India.

With several firsts in the media industry, The Hindu became, in 1995, the first Indian newspaper to offer an online edition. The Hindu newspaper recently changed its news printing style which was now adopted by most of the leading newspapers in India.

THe Hindu is known for its coverage of political news and national news, In India If a person is preparing for IAS Examination it is recommended for them to read The Hindu Daily. The Hindu newspaper covers a lot of political news and the daily happenings in the Nation and the world. Sometimes the news of The Hindu looks like showing partiality but it always stood for Justice.

During Jayalalita regime in Tamilnadu The Hindu Newspaper and its editor in cheif N Ram faced number of charges due to its published News. Even after that The Hindu newspaper stood in its old principle of Fairness and Justice. The Hindu is criticised for its left centeric stand in politics by a lot of readers.

In Hindu The first Page first fold will always have a hot topic which will change the entire nation's politics. That page is a hot like a volcano which will have a bash if the goverment is doing something wrong. The titles are well choosen and very carefully according to the news which is published Inside. The English grammer and vocalbulary used by The Hindu will be excellent

Most of the readers will not start reading The Hindu from front, They start reading from the center peice of paper (mostly 8 and 9 pages) because that is the place researved for Editorial where well known scholors and domain experts writes coloumns.

One more notable point in the Editorial Page is the Cartoon which will be published in the center. The cartoons of The Hindu will never be understandable for the first time, It will never give the exact meaning of what they are trying to at first glance. You see the Cartoon think about it for some seconds then you will get the real meaning of the cartoon. The cartoons of The Hindu will not be like a needle in a banana instead a Big Iron rod in a Banana.

The Sports coverage of The Hindu newspaper is another jewel in its Throne. There is a seperate team which provides Sports information which is with very centered information about the Game. A lot of young Cricketers from south India got into squad and got notified because of the encouragement and the Information provided by The Hindu Sports page. Sports news mostly covers all sports news which other news papers miss in its dailes. The Coverage and the writeups will be very decent and encouraging others to read more. IT never drops a player when they are not performing and never keep in head when they are preforming. It acts very neutral role in the World of Sports.
