Brangelina go jewellery shopping in Jodhpur
Hollywood star couple Angelina Jolie and Brad pitt is on shopping fever in India during their stay here in mumbai for their upcoming flim A Mighty Heart. Angelina Jolie and Brad pitt got attracted with the jewellery designs of India. Angelina Jolie and Brad pitt went on a jewellery shopping spree in Jodhpur a historic Rajasthan city.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt arrived on October 20 on a two days trip to Jodhpur has purchased traditional Rajasthani jewellery from Gems & Art Plaza -- a Jodhpur-based jewellery showroom. As reported by the shop owner it is known that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt visited shop with their son and purchased Traditional Kundan and Minakari jewels from the shop. Brangelina couples spent two hours and showed interest in emerald, sliver jewellery too.
According to Shop owner, Angelina Jolie was fascinated by the jewellery studded with precious and semi-precious stones. Minakari is an age-old art where ornaments are crafted in gold and silver and intricate enamel work is engraved in special colours including red, green, blue and yellow. The couple also signed the visitor's books at the showroom, which has earlier been visited by several international stars.
Brangelina stayed at the Umed Bhawan Palace and also celebrated Diwali here, according to hotel sources. The couple landed at the hotel by a helicopter Oct 20 from Jaipur, the source added. The actors, their son Maddox and their 21-member Hollywood unit, were welcomed by members of the Jodhpur royalty.
Their stay here had been kept a secret due to security considerations. But sources said they set out to enjoy the Diwali illumination in the city at night that was all aglow against the backdrop of the magnificently lit up Jodhpur fort.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are camping in Pune to shoot for A Mighty Heart, a film on the Wall Street Journal journalist Daniel Pearl who was abducted and slain by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002.
Angelina Jolie plays Pearl's widow Mariane in the film. The couple left for Pune Monday evening.
