Indian ace Mahesh Bhupathi on Monday sent shock waves by saying he does not want to represent India in future big events, including upcoming Asian Games.

"I have been contemplating it for a long time. I have already informed Anil Khanna (AITA secretary general) about it. But I will think over it for a few more days before coming to a final decision," Mahesh Bhupathi told reporters after Men's Tennis Open doubles crown in Mumbai.

Mahesh Bhupathi did not reveal the reason, but It may be because of the refusal of Leander Paes to join in Doubles run-up in Olympics. Both leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi was a Double barroled Gun of Indian tennis which is facing a lot of troubles in recent years. Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi has three Grand slam title and had reached the doubles semifinals in Athens which no Indian team cracked to that extent.

What may be the future plans of Mahesh Bhupathi

The refusal for representation to Indian tennis events by Mahesh Bhupathi opened a lot of speculation amoung the tennis lovers in India and Abroad. What are the future plans of Mahesh Bhupathi.

Already Mahesh Bhupathi has a tennis academy which finds and encourages young talent. Young Sania Mirza is one of the tennis player whom Mahesh Bhupathi Academy is backing them. Recently Sania Mirza won Martina Hingis at Korean Open. He may concentrate more on finding more talent for India.

There is another option which can be an atom bomb for Indian tennis. Playing for another nation.

Is this is the end of Indian Doubles which entertained the tennis court in Davis cup? There are some more days to come for the final decision from Mahesh Bhupathi.
