Brangelina's illegal landing under probe

Hollywood's superstar couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, currently in India to shoot for a movie based on the life of slain US journalist Daniel Pearl, have landed themselves in trouble - literally.

A chopper carrying Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie landed at the Umed Bhawan Palace Hotel premises in Jodhpur without prior permission and has ended up ruffling the feathers of the city's airport authorities, official sources said.

Additional district magistrate Bhura Ram Delu said it appears that the Jagson Airlines helicopter had landed at Umed Bhawan - the palace resort owned by former ruler Gaj Singh - on October 20 evening under the pretext of an emergency landing. The district administration was not informed about it by either the airlines or by the Jodhpur Air Traffic Control (ATC), which is controlled by the Indian Air Force.

"After speaking with the Umed Bhawan Palace management, the district administration would now ask Jodhpur's air traffic control for its report," Delu said, adding that Jagson Airlines did not take the necessary permission for landing the helicopter in a public or private property.
