Mumbai will host 2011 World Cup finals

After a lot of tussle between Indian and Pakistan Cricket boards regarding the world cup finals, it has been decided that India will host the world cup 2011 finals at Mumbai. World cup 2011 was awarded to Asian countries which is jointly organising the grand event. India, Pakistan, Srilanka and Bangladesh conducts this event.

It was previously decided that two Semi finals will be held in Sri Lanka and pakistan and the finals will be conduted in India. But Pakistan was keen to conduct finals which was a long tussle for Indian Cricket Board. on 11th December all the board members meet at Mumbai to solve the issue of hosting the finals. This meeting held at BCCI President Sharad Pawar house.

After long persuading it has been decided that India, Mumbai will host the Finals and the innaguration function of World Cup 2011 will be held on Bangladesh which will have the first match of World cup Cricket. This meeting was called by Sharad pawar, after pakistan express is unwillingness regarding the previous agreement of World cup finals (by India)
