Indian Cricket Team - The Unpredictable

This was the first year after 1996 where Sourav Ganguly hasn't played an ODI. Sourav Ganguly dropped from the team during January after the controversy between Greg Chappell and him.

Indian Cricket team created history as the most successful team while chasing big totals. It won 18 out of 24 games while chasing and it happened continuously. Indian Cricket team found a new captain Rahul dravid the bangalorean, who was dependable for his skills with bat.

2006 will also be a worst year for Indian Cricket with lot of controversies, new board members and a issue with ICC over the cash flow and darrell Hair. It will be a mixed year with a happy endings regarding a fight on world cup 2012 finals. It was decided that Mumbai will host the finals and other countries will conduct semi finals and Inauguration events.

Rahul Dravid - The Great Wall of India

The Captain of Indian Cricket team, runs in a dry patch. This year his career bends towards the draining edge and there was lot of discussions about his skills as a captain. Rahul Dravid was successful in West Indies which saw a loss in One Day Internationals and saw a phoenix with them in test series. As a Captain he followed what Greg Chappell said in meetings and little subjected himself to Greg.

Sourav Ganguly - The Prince and Dada

For Sourav Ganguly 2006, was not a good year but not a bad year either? He was thrown out of Indian Cricket team on January. After that there was an up raise in west Bengal which even attracted political party to enter in to the controversy. He had a good time in domestic cricket and proved his skills in domestic cricket. Each and every game was watched more seriously by selectors and Dada got another life. He got selected for South Africa Tour due to injury of Dravid.

It was a good comeback for Sourav Ganguly with a responsible cricket played in first test match. In the second test match and the final cricket game of the year Sourav Ganguly haven't performed good. Again the ghost of the darkness came upon him and covered with its coat.

Sachin Tendulkar - The Injury Man both for Bowlers and Himself

For Sachin Tendulkar, it was the worst year in his cricketing career. Sachin did a comeback after the injury and injured Pakistan in Pakistan. After that there were no great achievements. The entire world watched his game with more careful eyes, with lot of Criticism about his game, Sachin Tendulkar, started to produce some cricket. In test matches he just got a single 50 this year which is very strange for the master blaster. India investing hope on him as who will bring world cup 2007 to India

Irfan Pathan - The Experimental all rounder

Irfan Pathan has a worst cricketing year in his career. His form gone down tremendously. along with the Indian Cricket team's performance. Under pressure to perform Irfan Pathan made lot of mistakes which lead him to get dropped from the team. Now Irfan Pathan is under pressure to regain the position in Indian Cricket team. It all started when Irfan Pathan got promoted as a new all rounder for the team who played at no 3 (dravid Position) which made him to perform with bat too. This was the start of loosing his form in bowling which haven't yielded any great results this year.

Sreesanth - The Entertainer of Indian Cricket Team

Sreesanth, A lot was written about him previously. It was the first year for Sreesanth who had a happy start in his career. His bowling action attracted the greats who are in commentary box and his actions while bowling made controversies. His dance on the ground was a pure entertainment and his bowling was a missile targeting the stumps. Being young, Sreesanth grasp advices from all corners of the game. It was South African Tour which made the country to put the hope on this young man.
