Yahoo Collabrated with Spyware and Risky sites

McAfee published a research which is claiming that Yahoo returns lot more results of Spyware and Risky sites in its search results. Those links are classified as Red or Yellow according to McAfee SiteAdvisor. McAfee site advisor sates some examples of Risky sites as, Sites which distributes Adware, Which sends huge amount of spam. Examples of Yellow sites are sites which send huge volume of emails (non spam), lot many popup ads.

Did Yahoo collabrated with Spyware and risky sites? Well McAfee says that there are number of instances where yahoo shows sites which are distributing adware are shown in sponser results. It also claims that on Yahoo, MSN, Ask.com, Google, AOL sponsored searches returned more risky websites than their organic searches. Now McAfee stopped recommending yahoo search for its users and warns users that Yahoo search is risky with high amount of Risky site's results

Yahoo said that, it already has strong editorial policies on sponsored results and accepts the claim of McAfee since its result display is based on various factors in web. Davis, Vp of marketplace quality said that Yahoo has been a strong proponent of helping fight malware and is in fact the only major search vendor who makes free anti spyware software available to its users. We support any efforts that help with the ongoing fight against unsafe sites.

According to Davis, it is not in Yahoo's interest "to deliver experiences that would erode the trust of our users and advertisers, as we are committed to building the world's highest-quality online advertising marketplace and providing the safest and most relevant search experience possible for our users".

McAfee says AOL is the safest search engine in internet which had returned only 2.9 percent of Risky website. Oops, I thought Google is the safest, what happened to Google? Dear Google please clarify it please.
