One night with Paris Hilton in jail
LOS ANGELES - Paris Hilton had not eaten or slept since arriving at the medical ward of a Los Angeles jail and was being given psychotropic drugs, celebrity Web site TMZ.com reported on Saturday, citing law enforcement sources.
Paris Hilton, seen on her way to court Friday, screamed "It's not right!" after being ordered to serve the remainder of her original 45-day sentence in jail.
The plainly-dressed heiress, seen hugging mom Kathy outside her house, wore no makeup and wept throughout the hearing.
Hilton was driven to court for a hearing on her early release from jail after back-and-forth decisions on whether she could participate from home.
Hilton had hoped to spend 40 days in her four-bedroom, three-bathroom, Spanish-style home in Hollywood, while wearing an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet.
In the court document concerning Hilton's sentencing, Judge Michael T. Sauer explicitly wrote, "No work furlough. No work release. No electronic monitoring."
Steve Whitmore of the LA County sheriff's office said on Thursday that the decision to move Hilton from jail to home arrest was due to a "medical situation."
Hilton was arrested on charges of drunken driving in September. In January, she was sentenced to three years' probation and had her license suspended.
But she was caught driving on a suspended license in February, and a traffic court judge ruled on May 4 that Hilton's latest offense constituted a probation violation.
Hilton was originally housed in a unit for celebrities and high-profile inmates at a prison in Lynnwood, about 15 miles from Los Angeles.
She was kept alone in her cell, which was 8 feet wide, 12 feet deep and 8 feet high, equipped with two bunks, a sink, a table, a window and a metal toilet.
