Sania Mirza marriage evokes mixed responses

Sania Mirza marriage evokes mixed responses

Sania Mirza, who was tipped as the next biggest tennis star from India, surprised many by her decision to marry former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik. This revoked a mixed response from many in the online world. While there were many who condemned her decision there are others who still hope she will return with her best to the game.

Here`s what her supporters and naysayers have to say:

Prakashhbhatia

Absolutely. She deserves to just go out of public life. once upon a time, she was looked at as India`s Steffi Graf. She is not even her shadow. she surrounded herself with her media blitz, her affairs and everything except tennis.

We need a new champion. She is not and never will be a tennis legend or a sports legend like Sachin, Leander, Mahesh Bhupathi,Abhinav Bindra.

Her tennis career has de facto been over already - she has realized that and is planning to settle down in life. As a tennis player, she flattered to deceive - it`s a pity for Indian tennis though.

She could have learnt from great examples set by the Indian duo of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, who even at mid-30 are still going strong in international circuits.

Even amongst the women, there are quite a few renowned international players who have made great comebacks from niggling nagging injuries. But she allowed herself to be trapped by the glamor world and wasted her tennis talent.

As far as tennis goes, she has nothing to offer. She`s just another over hyped player by the media.Even if she continues playing tennis, what would be her goals.Lets see like playing and loosing in all the 1 st round matches in grand slams. Better she just concentrates on her personal life from now on!!!

Her career has already ended, and now only a formality has to be done and she is merely doing that. It is not possible for her to play for india in future, she is only making mockery about it. I have never found her as a very good tennis player but luck and media has favoured her a lot in achieving what she has achieved uptil now. now it is the best time for the injury prone sania to wed somebody and settle down, it is also very sad that she was unable to find a suitable person for her from her vast community in india. i am happy that now officially the so called sania fever will be over.

Indian or Pakistani, it doesn`t make a difference. She is the best tennis player. She has given enough credit to India. Have we done that? No. If we have guts, let us play like her. Now, let her enjoy her retired life with her love bird. Why are we envious. She is also human being. And she has right to love any body.

Perhaps, people are envious because they didn`t get chance to marry her. And Pakistan is not at all bad place. Afterall, once it was a part of India. They are our brothers staying seperately. Why so much hate for them. If they hate us let them. Our Sania will teach them love her motherland India. Hope for the best.

Sania, Wish you happy married life. Keep coming to India. And if people allow, surely play for any country you like.

It might as well be over....She has not excelled in the game for the last few years....Wishing her the best in marriage life.

I don`t think so.....she would still play, though half-heartedly. She doesn`t have anything to loose from here. The performance anybody puts up is a direct variable function of how much are they under the eyes of spectators. The function is loosing grip as she is no more the speedy Sania she used to be. Atleast the marriage would give her the grandeur she`s expecting form the tennis show.....

Marriage is personal choice between two individual. Nothing tho do with nation bundries and political issues. Her maariage will promotefriendship between India and Pakistan. Lets pray the best for her, after all she made we Indian proud.

Well, Sania will continue to play and by all means and ways, we should encourage that in the right spirit! Why do we need to adversely comment on her personal life and choice(s)? Aren`t we crossing the line? Congratulations to her and wish her all the best as her fan, admirer and fellow citizen.
