Bollywood Biggies to hit the Silver Screen in next few months

August is turning out to be the most critical month for Bollywood this year. While June (Sarkar Raj, Mere Baap Pehle Aap, De Taali, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic) and July (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa, Love Story 2050, Mehbooba, Kismat Konnection, God Tussi Great Ho, Mission Istanbul) have their own quota of biggies, box office barometer would be seriously impacted by the fate of a slew of releases which would take place on back to back weeks this August.

One look at the release plan and you know that a Bollywood buff would have a treat in the offering every Friday. While 1st August is relatively light weight with Govinda-Upen Patel starrer Money Hai To Honey Hai being the only major release of the week, seasons most anticipated film – Siingh Is King - arrives a week later. An Akshay Kumar starrer, it is fetching record prices, especially because it brings together Vipul Shah and Anees Bazmee into a common project.

Things would only continue to get hotter on Independence Day with Ranbir Kapoors Bachna Ae Haseeno clashing with Abhishek Bachchans Drona. It would be a good competition between a romantic comedy and an action drama.

There would hardly be a breathing space for each of the films release so far though since Sanjay Gadhvi would be creating a different kind of dhoom on 22nd August. Starring Sanjay Dutt as the prime protagonist, Kidnap is all set to be a racy action thriller in the offering.

August would continue to engage Bollywood followers as last but not the least, Friday, the 29th, would mark the arrival of Farhan Akhtars debut venture as an actor – Rock On - which would clash with Vikram Bhatts period horror musical drama 1920. No wonder, it would be one power packed August in the offering.
