Soundarya unveils Sultan!
The first look of Soundarya Rajnikanth's ode to her beloved father, Sultan the Warrior was unveiled with a crisp new trailer of the animation film at Inox in Chennai. Earlier, the first teaser trailer of the film was shown with Sivaji last year.
Soundarya Rajnikanth, the 23 year old daughter of the superstar and her Ocher studios are producing the 3D animated film at a cost of $ 10 million on a lavish scale in association with Reliance Adlabs. A.R Rahman will provide the music, Thotta Tharani takes care of art and the film will release in 12 different languages of the world including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and English, by end 2008.
Says the beautiful Soundarya : " Sultan is actually Appa's story idea. It's not something you have heard before and is not rooted in Ramayana or Mahabharata. I did the screenplay and the film is a daughter's gift to her father." She added that whatever one expects from a superstar film will be there in Sultan, the warrior in an animated form with his famous style and punchlines, along with new elements.
In the trailer Rajnikanth looks atleast 20 years younger, and it is well made giving the preview audiences what they want- a lot of the superstar with his legendary mannerisms and gimmicks. Latha Rajnikanth, wife of the superstar who was present at the press meet says: " It is going to be a film that will make India and Tamilnadu proud".
