Katrina`s career is blossoming like never before. Last year was great for her and this year is no exception. She is even getting hotter with her much-hyped film Singh Is Kinng getting ready for release. However, she is at an all time low when it comes to her love life.

It is said that she is not happy with Salman, as he interferes too much in her moves whether it is her choice of co-stars or films. Salman`s spat with Shahrukh Khan on her birthday too seems to have added more salt to the wound. It is said that the actress is ready to let go and has stopped talking to Salman.

Surya, who is moving to the frontline actors is now giving continous success and getting established as a commercial hero. In Varanam Aaiyiram, Surya does a dual role as Father and son. Father Surya is accompanied by Simran who is looking for a re entry to Kollywood. As per the industry sources, this is again a hyped movie.

The son in law of Superstar Rajnikanth Danush, is now coming with yet another hit Padikathavan this year. Danush holds most titles of old movies Rajnikanth`s movies. Padikathavan was one of the old goods of Rajnikanth. The story is about how a person who is from low society reaches the greater heights. Previous two films of Danush was a hit. The movie Yaradi nee mohini with Nayanthara was a hit which sent back Vijayakanth`s Arasangam to number 2 in slots.

After two continous flops last year, Vijay is dusting himself and joining prabhudeva again. This time Vijay is coming up with villu a semi village oriented film. Tamil Film Industry sources say, it is a mass masala movie just like Pokiri in which Vijay acted as a police officer and also the local dada.

Jolie sole competition to men in Hollywood

She might be one of the sexiest and most beautiful women alive, but Angelina Jolie has much more to her - an ability to hold her own in an industry which is dominated by men. According to Timur Bekmambetov, director of Matrixy thriller "Wanted," Jolie commands true respect in Hollywood and there`s no other female star who can upstage the actress. He said that on the set of the film, Jolie actually ended up mentoring co-star James McAvoy, and helped him get through at numerous occasions.

"Angelina was his mentor, she helped him. She was the Hollywood person, and his journey was basically the journey of his character," the New York Post quoted him, as saying. Tom O`Neil, columnist for the film site TheEnvelope.com, said that if directors think Jolie can`t hold her own in a lead role, they are seriously mistaken. "You can`t think of another female star who`s upstaging her, but it still seems like girls have to take a secondary role," he said.

He added that despite her growing brood, Jolie always plays as hard as the guys when she gets on the set. "She seems to be this frail, slender, delicate creature when she`s strolling down the red carpet and then becomes the ultimate symbol of female empowerment in these films," O`Neil said.

Abhishek looses his temper over Ash at IIFA

All is not well between the Bollywood`s most famous couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Bachchan. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who is seen comfortable in company of her hubby and family members had a heated argument with Abhi during the recent IIFA Awards ceremony in Bangkok. The couple later stormed into their hotel room and were heard screaming at the top of their voice.

The trouble started when Aishwarya was being over expressive at the award function in company of actor Kunal Kapoor. Abhishek Bachchan who did not appreciate that requested her to keep low but she still continued grabbing attention. Abhishek Bachchan then took her to the hotel lobby and tried to put his point across to her. The actress however blasted at him over the issue.

The couple are said to have argued art the top of their voice for a long time after which Abhishek Bachchan lost his temper completely. He asked his personal security guards to escort Aishwarya Rai Bachchan out of the room. Is it just an one off incident or just the beginning of more to come? Only time will tell.

Simbu-Nayantara back in loveland!

Hot gal Nayantara and Silambarasan have made it up and decided to bury the past, it seems. The erstwhile lovers, who had scorched the screens with their "intimate" acting, have met recently in an up-market pub, where they partied together till the wee hours, it is said.

It has been almost two years since they have parted ways. While Simbu was trying to make amends, Nayan was rock-solid in her decision and had rejected all efforts by Simbu to talk it out with her. Recently, during the hunger-strike organized by the film associations of Tamil Nadu, Nayan did not even turn an eye towards Simbu, when he came and sat near her.

Many leading heroes and directors are not comfortable with the recent development, it is said. They are worried Nayan's attitude towards her job may change due to the affair. When she was in love with Simbu, Nayantara used to talk to him on her mobile for minutes and at times, for hours together. She was also often late for her shots, giving the directors and co-stars a tough time.

But, after the split, she has been very punctual and cordial with her co-stars. She has been concentrating on her career and has almost become the number-one Tamil actress. She is reported to have crossed the magical 'Rs 1 crore` mark in remuneration.
