The new Punnagai Arasi (smile Queen) sneha is set to romance with sarath kumar in an upcoming film directed by KS Ravi Kumar. Sneha is known for her smile and her success rate in tamil film industry. No, I was not giving up anything when I did `Corporate`. People thought I was going the Tabu way but then came `Dhoom 2` based on glamour and fashion and then `Omkara` as a village dancer. I think people liked me in both the films. I feel that as an actor I need to mix and do the things that I like.

I would say Aditya Chopra as I opt for commercial cinema which is widely watched. It is better to do films which are widely watched.

Shahrukh copies Amitabh again

Shahrukh Khan has made a habit of copying the Big B. After starring in the remake of his blockbuster movie Don, SRK is all set to star in his version of Nishabd. Shahrukh will be seen romancing a teenage girl in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi just like the Amitabh romanced Jiah Khan in Nishabd. The movie will be directed by Aditya Chopra his first since Mohabbatein eight years back.

Shahrukh will play a 40 years British Indian who comes back to his native country after a personal tragedy and falls in love with a 16 year old Punjabi village girl. It is being rumoured that Aditya Chopra has signed Sonam Kapoor to play the female lead in the movie. It is also know that Yash Raj Films did an extensive talent hunt to find the right girl for the role. But unable to find any suitable candidate Sonam was cast in the movie.

This will incidentally be the third time SRK will be doing what Amitabh has done before. King Khan had replaced Amitabh Bachchan in the television show Kaun Banega Crorepati and then starred in the remake of the movie Don which had not gone down well with the Big B.

A witty satire of the perils of stardom in Indian cinema. Though Vellithriai, the Tamil remake of Malayalam's Udayananu Tharam, lacks the original's brilliant touches, it is still entertaining to an extent. Vellithirai brings back the successful duo of Prakash Raj – Prithviraj together and the combination works well, if not as superbly as the legendary Mohan Lal - Srinivasan combo in `Udhayananu Tharam`. Saravanan (Prithviraj) is a struggling assistant director. He lives in Kodambakam, where there are several other hopefuls and wannabes: friends and rivals struggling together. Saravanan's dream is to make his own film and he has a foolproof scheme to achieve this goal: write a sure-fire script and insist on directing it himself. His roommate, Kannayan (Prakash Raj) a sly, struggling and untalented actor hatches a plot to steal the script, pass it off on his own, and insist on being the star of the film. One day Saravanan pitches his story to Trisha (playing herself) and is shocked to discover that Trisha already knows the story. His dreams shattered, he turns to the famous actress Mythili (Gopika), for help. Can Saravanan outwit Kannayan who has now become a big star?

We won't elaborate more on the plot that takes interesting turns except to say that the climax borrows from the Hollywood satire about moviemaking, Bowfinger. Prakash Raj in an interview to The Hindu said, “Don't call it a remake. Call it an inspiration.” The Tamil keeps the outline of the original's plot but changes many details, including the dialogue, which is written with an eye to a Tamil audience. Vellitherai deftly satirizes commercial cinema: and in the process indicting Indian stars and their nearly fascistic behavior on and off a film set. The most pointed dialogue is when Prakash Raj says to his friend, `Mustafa turning into Hanuman is possible only in tinsel town`. The satirical portions in the film have been crafted deftly, especially the scene between director and star about the absurd age factor of Indian movie heroes. Prithviraj is wonderful in this role. He doesn't stereotype the struggling artist but gives the character doubt, integrity, and compassion. Prakash Raj is flamboyant and complex as the bad actor who has to act to save his life. A challenge for any actor: how does a good actor play a bad one? His over the top stylish makeover as the star in the second half may make him look funny, but that is the point: to make fun of this pompous man. Gopika as expected is quite natural. Though the film's focus on the personal problems of a heroine makes for good viewing, her extended mushy act does get a bit tiresome.

Everyone in Vellitherai has worked hard to make this resemble a movie about a movie as much as possible. M.S. Bhaskar playing the manager's role, and Charlie as production manager illustrate this best. Cinematography by Paneerselvam is top notch. One of G.V.Praskash's melodies is really foot tapping: `Kanavugal` canned at several beautiful locations is a visual treat. But his background score does leave lot to be desired.

The choreography and sets for the songs are tasteful, even ironic. They are at once mocking and sincere, suggesting that commercial cinema is always a compromise: something a serious filmmaker like Saravanan is forced to contend with on his road to success. Viji, the debuting director, who had earlier scored handsomely for his dialogues in movies like Mozhi and Azhagiya Theeya, seems to be learning the ropes in the direction front. Climax for one could have been shaped up better. Overall, movies about movies are rare enough in Tamil cinema and a new addition to the genre is always welcome and the attempt is much appreciated.

Verdict: Good, but not as good as the original

Aishwarya Rai was rumored to be the lead and director Shankar was in Mumbai last week to finalize all the deals. This will be the second film where AIshwarya Rai works with Shankar and the first with Rajnikanth the sultan of Style. Even Deepika Padukone was rumored to join the crew but it went as an Air Castle.

Robot, not the inspirational version of I-Robot, but the revolutionary brain child of Sujatha`s writing. Sujatha completed all the writing works before his death itself. ROBOT victory will be a dedication for a reowned writer, scientiest Sujatha.

Tanushree renews spat with Shona Urvashi

Tanushree Dutta who has been in the news for her ugly spat with director Shona Urvashi during the shooting of Saas Bahu Sensex in Pune, is in no mood to forgive or forget.

"I`ve taken enough rubbish from them; all because of my producers, Warner Brothers are really cool. But Shona Urvashi has been a nightmare. I wouldn`t even want to go there again. But she has been calling up the media telling them I`m on drugs and that I`m another Parveen Babi…Another Parveen? Me on drugs? This is my 13th film. Please check with my other directors-producers, if I have ever been erratic in my behaviour. I think these people need to check their own mental balance."

Getting even more candid Tanushree goes back to the beginning of her stint in Pune. "I signed on this film without knowing what I was in for. At first things seemed okay. Shona was the director, her sister Masume is also in the cast (though it`s another matter that there seems to be some kind of a stress between the sisters). I`ve the main role. Their mother is the producer and father looks after production. So it was all a family affair. I was the outsider. I kept my distance. Maybe they didn`t like the fact that I didn`t party with them after work. But if I`ve an early morning shoot I`d rather sleep and be fresh."

Whatever the reason for their rancor, all hell broke loose on February 14. "Shona decided to harass me pointedly and continuously on that day. She`d pick on me for no reason. At first, I laughed it off, thinking they were making a bakra out of me. But then I realized they were serious. I was made to say the same line for hours on-end. I wasn`t allowed to go back to my van between shots. For fifteen hours non-stop they made me shoot, taunting, jeering, and openly harassing me. The lights and AC were switched off in my van. It was like a nightmare. And at the end of it there was promise of more. They couldn`t wait to have me back on the sets the next morning for a dose of the same treatment."

Tanushree left Pune and refused to go back until the producers accompanied her. "I reluctantly went back and shot on 19th and 20th. But it was bad. The producers saw how bad it was and blasted the team, wondering how an actor was supposed to work under such stressful circumstances. Then Shona insisted she needed me for 10-12 days. The producers decided 4 days were enough. I went on the sets at the given time tried to do my work and left."

Now, there`re just four days of work left, and Tanushree wonders how she`d be able to go through it. "It`s a fantastic script. But the worst experience of my career. Now I wonder if they were doing all this just for publicity. Shona Urvashi has directed one film before. Maybe she needed to get noticed. But is this the way to go about it?"

Ishaa Koppikar (born 19 September 1976) is a popular actress and a model in India. She has acted in Bollywood, Kollywood, Tollywood and the Kannada film industry. She is a Virgo and stands approximately 5`7" tall.

Ishaa Koppikar was born in Mumbai, India on 19 September 1976. She went to Ramnarain Ruia College in Mumbai and studied Life Sciences. While in college, she did a model shoot for Gautam Rajadhyaksha. She took part in the 1995 Miss India Contest, winning the Miss Talent Crown. She has modelled for L`Oreal, Rexona, Camay, Tips & Toes and Coca-Cola, amongst others.

Ishaa Koppikar`s career started in Kollywood, where she was paired opposite Prashanth in Kaadhal Kavidai. A lot of the film was shot in London and became a blockbuster following its release, winning the lead actors rave reviews and Koppikar winning the Filmfare Best Female Debut (Tamil). With this, Ishaa was touted to be the next non-Tamil girl after Simran Bagga,who would take over the Tamil film industry. Her second movie was the highly-anticipated Tamil film, En Swasa Katre opposite Arvind Swamy, one of the most successful actors at that time. The film was a musical hit, rendered by A. R. Rahman, and a good grosser at the box-office. She then played a cameo in Prashanth`s Jodi as a prospective bride. She received positive reviews for her role and decided to pursue a career in Bollywood: Her first Hindi movie was Ek Tha Dil Ek Thi Dhadkan (1997), directed by Shah Rukh Sultan, and yet to be released.

Koppikar appeared in minor roles in Fiza (2000), Pyaar Ishq aur Mohabbat and Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya (2001). In 2002, she appeared in Ram Gopal Varmas Company as an Item girl in the song Khallas!. The number created her nickname Khallas-girl and caused her breakthrough. In Dil Ka Rishta she played opposite Aishwarya Rai and Arjun Rampal and for her negative role in Qayamat: City Under Threat (2003), she received a nomination for Filmfare Best Villian Award. In 2005 she played Arshad Warsi`s girlfriend in the Salman Khan starrer Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya?. In the same year she appeared opposite Anupam Kher and Tusshar Kapoor in the comedy Kyaa Kool Hai Hum. For her role as policewoman Urmila Martodkar she received three award nominations for best comedy.

A special appearance, playing casino owner Sonia Chang, in 36 China Town preceded her biggest release to date, in 2006, in Farhan Akhtar`s Don cast alongside Shahrukh Khan as Don`s girlfriend, Anita. Her role was expanded to one bigger than that in the original 1978 version with Amitabh Bachchan. At the start of 2007 she replaced Perizaad Zorabian in a minor role in Nikhil Advani`s Salaam-e-Ishq opposite Sohail Khan. This was her third appearance with Khan, having worked with him in Krishna Cottage (2004) and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya.

She will feature as the female lead in Ram Gopal Varma`s Shabri (2007), a movie about a woman who is set to become Mumbai`s first underworld lord. Koppikar`s make-up was so convincing that security and producers wouldn`t let her enter the set, as they didn`t recognize her.

Koppikar has two films under production in 2007 in which she has replaced actresses withdrawing from the roles. Bipasha Basu was replaced in Darling, directed by Ram Gopal Varma and co-starring Fardeen Khan and Esha Deol. And Celina Jaitley was replaced in Atil Agnihotri`s Hello, co-starring Sohail Khan. After a three year wait Haseena Smart Sexy and Dangerous was finally released with Ishaa in the title role.

Trisha Krishnan

Trisha Krishnan born on 4th May 1983 as Trisha Krishnamurthy in Palakkad, India, is a Tamil-born actress in the Tamil and Telugu film industry. Trisha rose to fame with her roles in Saamy and Ghilli.

Born to Krishnan and Uma Krishnan in Palakkad, the Tamil Iyer actress got her early education from Church Park School and pursued her higher education in Ethiraj College, Chennai. Later, Trisha modelled and won Miss Salem in 1999, Miss Chennai in 1999 and Miss India Miss Beautiful Smile in 2001. In school, she participated in several cultural activities, sports and school band. Trisha is said to be a good ballet dancer.

Trisha first made her debut in films when she was offered a small cameo in the film Jodi starring Simran and Prasanth. However, the first movie in which she signed up to enact the role of the leading lady was Priyadarshan's Leysa Leysa. A string of flops marked the beginning of her career, such as Manasellam,and Alai. The first flim which showed her acting ability was in Mounam Pesiyadhe a lead role opposite Surya which won a critical acclaim. Saamy came next for Trisha which was a blockbuster in Tamil film industry. Saamy took Trisha to a new height in that year followed by Ghilli with Vijay. That made Trisha a hot cake in Kollywood and she moved to telugu flim Industry tollywood with Varsham.

Trisha starred in Varsham in Telugu which went on to become the biggest hit of the year and turned her into an overnight sensation. In 2005, she starred alongside Siddharth Narayan in the telugu flick Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana as the village girl Siri. The movie is about a rich boy, who tries to marry a girl - however her brother opposes. It is directed by Prabhu Deva, was successful at the box office . Trisha quoted that "'Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana' is the best entertainer that I have seen in my life" and she won 2 awards for the film which include the Filmfare Award and Nandi Award.

Another film she was called up for was Mani Ratnam's Aayitha Ezhuthu with Siddharth Narayan, Madhavan and Surya, which was the only time she dubbed herself for the film. Her later movies, Ji, Aathi and Aaru did not do well either - though Aaru was received well by critics and both dubbed in Tamil and Telugu and produced by Saran, who had previously directed several successful movies . Her recent Telugu movie, Pournami, directed by Prabhu Deva, was also a flop. However, Something Something ... Unnakum Ennakum, where Trisha acted opposite Jayam Ravi which released in 2006 did well at the box office. Something Something ... Unnakum Ennakum is a remake of the Telugu movie, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana where she plays the same role again.

Her Telugu film, Stalin with Chiranjeevi which released in 2006 created Indian record by collecting a share of RS. 130.8 million in 5 days. This got another entry for Stalin into the record books for the highest collected so far for any South Indian film in the first 5 days. This film grossed 5.3 crores on its opening day. In the U.S., it collected around 65,500 USD on the opening day. In the first seven days, the film grossed Rs. 17.6 crores worldwide, which was yet another record for South Indian film industry.

Her Telugu film, Sainikudu with Mahesh Babu released on November 30, 2006. There was high expectations in the trade circles from this film especially after the smashing hit Pokiri but this high budget film started off with a below average talk. Despite receiving bad talk from the film trade, the film managed to get a fantastic opening in India and overseas. The movie did very well abroad and is an average grosser. Trisha also recently replaced Rani Mukherjee as the Brand Ambassador of Fanta India.

Her next release after Sainikudu is Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule where she is cast opposite Venkatesh. This film is Selvaraghavan's first film in Telugu. The film released recently on April 27, 2007. The film is a family entertainer and is receiving good response from the audience especially from the family audience. The collections of the film at the box office has been encouraging.

Her other projects include four Tamil movies, Bheema with Vikram, Kireedam with Ajith, Sathyam and Malaikottai with Vishal. Due to some reasons, Sathyam movie shooting was not started as scheduled so Trisha is supposed to play the female in Malaikottai. Bhoopathy Pandian of Thiruvilayadal Arambam fame will be directing this movie.

Washington (ANI): Jennifer Lopez seems determined to give her newborn twins the best and most luxurious start in life, for she has issued an extraordinary set of baby friendly demands to her domestic staff and entourage. The singer-actress has devoted one wing of her and husband Marc Anthony's Manhattan home to the tots—Max and Emme—who were born last month.

She has also employed a trained colour therapist to paint the nursery in "health enhancing" hues, and ordered 600-count Egyptian cotton cot linen, designer Babygros, diamond-engraved rattles and two small Shetland ponies for the babies.

"Jennifer has gone all-out to give the twins an amazing childhood. She had the nursery painted a beautiful aquamarine and light blue - colours which are supposed to have intelligence boosting properties," the Mirror quoted a source, as saying.

"She listened to classical music throughout her pregnancy and is now having music piped through to the nursery to help relax her youngsters. She has employed a professional baby masseuse to come in once or twice a week and is also superparanoid about hygiene.

"The twins' wing is totally sterile and all flowers and presents are stored in a separate room, so they don't contaminate the babies' area. It may sound excessive but she's only got her kids' best interests at heart and wants to give them the start in life she never had," the source added.
