Salman says Yes to Madame Tussauds

Salman says Yes to Madame Tussauds

Salman Khan has finally accepted the offer form Madame Tussauds museum in London to display his life size wax statue alongside renowned international celebrities. Salman will be the fourth Indian cine star to find a space in the museum after Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and Aishwariya Bachchan. The actor's statue will be unveiled in early 2008.

It may be mentioned that the actor had stunned the world by initially rejected the offer thinking it to be a joke. The star accepted the offer after being voted by his fans. The poll was conducted during the summer in collaboration with the British Asian Entertainment magazine Ikonz and BBC Asian Network. The poll which saw over 10000 people participating voted Salman ahead of the other celebrities which included Madhuri Dixit who stood second, Abhishek Bachchan, Hritik Roshan, Rani Mukerjee, Karan Johar, Kajol and Lata Mangeshkar.

The museum which adds around 15 statues every year to its collection has seen a tremendous rise in the footfall among the Asian community after it unveiled the statue of Shahrukh Khan earlier this year. So it may not be a surprise to see many more Indians finding a place in the prestigious museum. Salman is expected to personally unveil his statue in early 2008.

The Seed

The Seed

A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business. Instead of choosing one of his directors or his children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his company together.

'It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO,' he said. 'I have decided to choose one of you.'

The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued.

'I am going to give each one of you a seed today - a very special seed. I want you to plant the seed, water it, and come back here one year from today with what you have grown with the seed I have given you. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO.'

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed. Every day, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow. Jim kept checking his seed, but nothing ever grew. Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by, still nothing. By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure. Six months went by - still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however. He just kept watering and fertilizing the soil - he wanted the seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought their plants to the CEO for inspection. Jim told his wife that he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what happened. Jim felt sick at his stomach. It was going to be the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was right. He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues laughed. A few felt sorry for him!

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives. Jim just tried to hide in the back.

'My, what great plants, trees, and flowers you have grown,' said the CEO. 'Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!'

All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered the financial director to bring him to the front. Jim was terrified. He thought, 'The CEO knows I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!' When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed. Jim told him the story. The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim.

He looked at Jim, and then announced to the young executives, 'Here is your next Chief Executive! His name is Jim!'

Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even grow his seed. How could he be the new CEO? The others said.

Then the CEO said, 'One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead - it was not possible for them to grow. All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive!'

If you plant honesty, you will reap trust

If you plant goodness, you will reap friends.

If you plant humility, you will reap greatness.

If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment

If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective.

If you plant hard work, you will reap success.

If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation.

So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later

Sometimes we get what we need and not what we want.........

Sometimes we get what we need and not what we want.........

Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods. They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said, "Someday, I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems and be decorated with intricate carvings. Everyone would see my beauty."
The second tree said, "Someday, I will be a mighty ship. I will take kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the strength of my hull."

Finally, the third tree said, "I want to grow to be the tallest and straightest tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the hill and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time, and people will always remember me."
After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees. One came to the first tree and said, "This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter," and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest. At the second tree, one of the other woodsman said, "This looks like a strong tree. I should be able to sell it to the shipyard." The a second tree was happy, because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship. When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was frightened, because it knew that, if it was cut down, its dreams would not come true. One of the woodsmen said, "I don't need anything special from my tree, so I'll take this one," and he cut it down.

When the first tree arrived at the carpenter's, he was made into a feed box for animals, placed in a barn and filled with hay. This was not at all what he had prayed for. The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying kings had come to an end. The third tree was cut into large pieces and left alone in the dark.

The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams. Then a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth, and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree. The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time.

Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose, and the tree didn't think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The men woke the sleeping man, and he stood and said "Peace," and the storm stopped. At this time, the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat.

Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through the streets, and the crowd mocked the man who was carrying it. Finally, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible, because Jesus Christ had been crucified on it.

The moral of this story is that, when things don't seem to be going your way, always know that God has a plan for you. If you place your trust in Him, He will give you great gifts. Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined. We don't always know what God's plans are for us. We just know that His ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best.

When enquired Tarun, he said that these are just another baseless rumor and there is no truth in it. When asked Simbu he haven't gave any reasons.

We started to enquire about this in film unit. one source told that, the incident is real and it was a huge fight. The reason for the fight is not just the Ego of Simbu but also Sherin. Why Simbu needs to get EGo with the director. More over Tarun was the director for the film Kalai (Bull) starring Simbu. Upon going deep in the roots of the problem it is found that, Simbu started to enter his nasty nose in each and every decision of Tarun and he started to give advice regarding the direction.

Simbu is the play boy in Kollywood and how he will allow another one to take over his place. So he started to do all politics against Tarun and Sherin. Due to the friendship Tarun made the Heroine role as more important. This angered simbu and he started all the problems in sets.

Why Alicia Keys was branded a lesbian

Alicia KeysLondon (ANI): R&B superstar Alicia Keys has realised why she was branded a lesbian at the beginning of her career because she was "rough around the edges".

Keys" sexuality became the subject of speculation after the release of her debut album 'Songs In A Minor' in 2001.

However, the singer has been adamant she isn't a lesbian but has admitted that her appearance and attitude may have led people to think so.

"I was definitely rough around the edges. I look back at certain interviews and I'm like, 'Damn! Did I have to look that hard? Did I have to do my hair that way?' The Sun quoted Keys, as saying.

"I could see why people couldn't see the diamond in the rough.

"I didn't take it to heart. I know what I am. I know it's not true," she added.

Leave the World A Bit Better

Leave the World A Bit Better

One of Ralph Waldo Emerson works was a poem on success, and one of his measures of success in that poem was to, 'Leave
the world a bit better.'

That line has always stuck in my head. Emerson said you have succeeded if you leave the world a bit better. And I have made that line part of my life philosophy. When the tide goes out there is a watermark left behind of where the water was.

When the waters of life recede from the shore of my being and my heart pumps for the last time, my desire is that there will be a mark where I stood. My aim is that the mark will say, 'For some decades a man occupied this space who saw others more important than himself and efforted to leave the world a better place for them and those yet to come.'

Our society tells us that success is measured by bank accounts, power, beauty and wealth. These are often the result of hard work, luck or birth. They are not evil and I strive for some of them daily. However, they are not the mark I will measure the success of my life with.

So how do you do it? How do you 'leave the world a bit better?':

* You give a percent of your income away to a charity or church. This makes your community better.

* You save a percentage of your income to pass down to your family when you leave.

* You volunteer your time for those who are less fortunate. Are you volunteering anywhere?

* You mentor someone who needs a positive direction in life.

* You follow and get involved in politics. Our laws and leaders will determine the future. You can have a hand in that future.

Or you can amass as much wealth as you can, spend it as fast as you can on the fading desires of your heart and seek to please yourself first. Our culture might tell you that this is success. Emerson tells us that it is not. I encourage you to realize that the waters of your life will eventually withdraw from the shore. When it does, will there be a watermark?

I felt like I was doing a Bengali film says Konkana

I felt like I was doing a Bengali film says Konkana

Konkona Sen SharmaShe is referred to as new age Shabana Azmi. And with some scintillating performances in Mr and Mrs Iyyer, Omkara, 15 Park Avenue and Page 3, Konkona Sen Sharma is carving a niche for herself in serious yet mainstream cinema. She shall be seen next in Pradeep Sarkar's Laaga Chunari Mein Daag where she is playing the younger sister of Rani Mukherji. "Badki is a bit of a mother," Konkona says about Rani's character. She has a lot to say about the entire star cast, how she bagged the film and why it has become one of the most special films she has ever done.

What do you think about the music of Laaga Chunari Mein Daag?
I think what's great about the music is that most of the songs have very different flavours from each other. 'Hum to Aise Hain Bhaiya' is very different from the title track Laaga Chunari Mein Daag which is very different from 'Ek Teekhi Teekhi Si Ladki'. So it will appeal to many different kinds of people.

Which is your favourite track from the album?
Its hard to say which is my favourite track because the first time when I heard 'Hum Toh Aise Hai Bhaiya', I thought to myself that this is my favourite track. Then I heard 'Ek Teekhi Teekhi Si Ladki' and I was like that this is the best. I think Laaga Chunari Mein Daag in itself is also really fabulous. In retrospect I think 'Hum Toh Aise Hain Bhaiya' is probably the best track because it has the flavour of Benaras, of the two sisters. It's the beginning of the film and it sets the tone for me. So I think that's my favourite track.

How would you describe your character in the film?
My character's name is Chutki. Her erstwhile name is Shubhavari Sahay but I think she's called that may be once in the whole film. Chutki is a very lively kind of a girl. She is full of life, very intelligent. She has a mind of her own. She has clear views on certain things in life and she is quite uncompromising in her stance, in her outlook towards life in general.

Can you relate to the character in real life?
I do relate to the character Chutki a lot. I would agree with her on every subject but by and large she is someone whose attitude I like, whose vivacity I like and I would like to think that I am like that in some way.

There is a very strong sibling bond shown in the film? Do you share a similar bond with your sibling in real life?
I do have an elder sister and we are very close. My sister is ten years older then me and in the film Rani is supposed to be just a couple of years elder then me. I am very close to my sister but it's a very different kind of a bond. I think the two sisters in this film right from the beginning are very good friends. I think all elder sisters have this where Badki is a bit of a mother, tries to be a little bossy with Chutki sometimes and there are flavors of those elements which I find in my relationship with my sister. For example the scene in which Badki tells Chutki that we have picked her up from the garbage dump and I remember that because my sister used to tell me that when I was a kid. I think sisters and siblings everywhere will relate to that bond which we have shown in the film. I think sisters just become friends at least I am very lucky to have a sister and so are Badki and Chutki.

What was it like working with Pradeep Sarkar?
It was lovely working with him. In the beginning I hadn't quite figured him out so I used to be little scared of him because he has quite a gruff manner. Now, I have realized through the working of the film that he is very sweet and one has to kind of learn to deal with him. Now I can feel affection for him. I don't always take him so seriously but first few days I would be nervous whether I was doing things correctly.

What was the experience of shooting in Benaras like?
We had quite a few location changes for this film. We had Benaras, Switzerland and Bombay and I think the most intense was Benaras. I had gone to Benaras for the first time in my life. That in itself is something because it is such a visually crowded place and the space I think really inspires filmmakers because it is so ancient and because of the river, temple and the ghats. It's unique. We had a superb time shooting there. It was intense, also it was the first time that we all got together, the energy was there. In Bombay what happens is that when you shoot everyone goes back to their own houses and they have their own lives to deal with We didn't have that in Benaras and I think the film actually reflects that.

What was it like working with Jaya Bachchan?
I love working with her. She is just fabulous I responded to her immediately. She is so warm, she is so gracious as a person and I guess there was some kind of connection. In Benaras in the beginning I was a bit lost and she really took me under her wing and I feel so grateful she was very affectionate, caring and I really enjoyed working with her. I wouldn't even say I enjoyed working with her I just enjoyed being with her on set, off set we would have dinner together or whatever it is.

What was it like working with Rani Mukherji?
It was superb working with Rani. I was a big fan of hers before and I remember the first day I met her was at the reading for Laaga Chunari Mein Daag. Very shyly and nervously I told her that I am a big fan of hers and she just laughed very sweetly and I don't even think she even took me seriously. It's a pleasure working with her. She is very professional but she is very much a real person. She doesn't have starry airs and she is not snooty. So, it was difficult for me to reconcile the two images - the Rani I know on screen and the Rani I knew in person. There is so much to learn from her, she is a gifted actress, a great dancer. I think the chemistry we shared shows on screen. I had a lovely time.

What was it like working with Abhishek Bachchan?
I didn't have too many scenes with Abhishek. We just had a song together and one scene together. He's good fun always cracking jokes on set making fun of everyone so the atmosphere is light and convivial. It's been good fun and he has a nice energy.

What was it like working with Anupam Kher?
Anupamji is another person whom I took to immediately because the first day he came on set in Benaras, I think I was quite bored that day I probably didn't have much to do and he came and he just started playing games and I love playing games and so does he. We used to play these word making games and all kinds of word games you can play at a set and the first few times I even beat him so that was a lot of fun. I enjoyed working with him.

What was it like working with Kunal Kapoor?
Kunal and I did two films back to back. We did Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Aaja Nachle, so there was a process of getting to know each other. He is such a lovely person. There is not one malicious bone in his body, he is what he is, he is very ernest, very professional. There are these things that I could learn and you can just tease him, make fun of him and he takes it so well and he makes fun of me back. We share a very nice rapport, very comfortable and we remain friends even otherwise.

How did this film happen and what made you decide on doing it?
I had got a call from Aditya Chopra and he had asked me about Aaja Nachle. I was excited and I grabbed that opportunity to be a part of that film. Then I got a second call asking if I was interested in hearing the subject of Pradeep Sarkar's film. I had already heard of Dada making a new film so I was very excited to hear that I was being considered because I loved Parineeta. I wanted to work with Dada and I heard the script with Dada, and Rekha Nigam who wrote the film and I loved my part and I think any actor would have loved to do this role.

Can you tell us something about your styling in the film? Which is your favourite outfit from the film?
My clothes are designed by Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi who are the best of the best. The first half of the film is set in Benaras for which Sabyasachi did my clothes and for second half of the film where I am in Bombay, the look has been designed by Manish Malhotra. I personally like wearing Patyala and short kurtis so I was very comfortable in Sabyasachi clothes. At the same time I have to say Manish's clothes when I wore them I used to be very hesitant and unsure because it had to be more on the glamorous side. I would keep telling him that make the dress a little longer or give me sleeves, make the neckline higher and he would be like, trust me its going to look nice on the screen and it has. I have got many compliments, even his style of Churidar-Kameezes are so different from the earlier look and its been wonderful. I don't know if I will wear them off screen but I think it does look great. There is one outfit which I love which is a skimpy blue dress which I am wearing in the proposal scene in Laaga Chunari Mein Daag at the time of wearing that I was very apprehensive but I think it looks great on screen so I am glad he pushed the envelope.

Any memorable incident you remember during the shoot of the film?
One was I remember in Benaras when we were shooting the song 'Hum To Aise Hai Bhaiya' and there is a scene where my character is supposed to be having a glass of bhang and I had to actually swallow a lot of milk during that time. I was disgusted because I had to actually spit it out because we had to do quite a few takes. The other thing I remember is being in Switzerland and taking a helicopter shot where they had to put me on top of a cliff. I was wearing a skimpy white dress and it was freezing cold and I had to stand on this hilltop and wave frantically to this helicopter which is circling me. I was freezing and I thought my arms would fall off and it didn't work the first time so we had to go there the second day and do it all over again and I was alone except for one assistant who had come with me both times and we both just died.

What was the experience like shooting in a complete Bengali set up?
I felt like I was doing a Bengali film and I think many unit members also felt that they are doing a Bengali film because Dada would constantly talk in Bengali. I would feel very bad for the non-Bengalis because Dada would constantly give directions on the mike in fluent Bengali and his Hindi was also spoken in a very typical Bengali way. The food, the crew everything was very Bengali so I was quite comfortable.

What is it like to have a mother who is a director? Do you consult her about your roles?
I have to say one thing because she is a director she never takes my side. Any film that I am working on if I begin to complain because sometimes acting is very tedious she tells me that's the way film making is and she never takes my side ever, so that's the worst part of having a mom who is also a director. But at the same time its also very convenient because she knows it all because of her experience she can offer a lot I terms of advice and feedback and I often ask her about the offers I am getting and the script but nowadays its not much because we are not in the same city but we do talk and I value her advice very much.

Kareena breaks the silence on Shahid, Saif

Kareena breaks the silence on Shahid, Saif

So much has been written and talked about Kareena Kapoor. She deserves it all for being a wonderful actress, but this time, everyone is trying to intrude into her personal life. The questions that keep rumourmongers engaged all these days are whether she is still seeing Shahid Kapoor, her boyfriend of over four years or whether she has moved on to Saif Ali Khan. Different people have come out with different answers to these questions. Kareena too has own version of the story.

She has been spotted going out with Saif more than often these days. She did admitted that she share great chemistry with Saif but refused to go further. She said that he is a great co-star and a friend, and added that she came to know him really well during the shooting of Tashan. She sees nothing wrong in going out together.

But, what about the incident in a restaurant in Delhi, where the photographer, who was taking photos of her with Saif, was asked to delete? She said that nothing ugly could happen at the discotheque because her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor was around. She added that Sanjay was upset with the photographer, as they should have been given privacy.

The bold actress however refused to comment on whether Saif is a boyfriend material. And what about her relationship with Shahid? She said that her relationship with Shahid is not like the way it has been reported. However, she described him as a fabulous human being, mature and stable She also defended him by saying that he is bound to be upset when people start questioning their four-and-a-half-year-old relationship. But then, she ended by saying that she would not say anything to anyone.

As frank as ever, she revealed that she had been in love and said that it's a beautiful feeling which remains in one's heart forever. She also rubbished off the rumours that she has started taking non-vegetarian food. She said that she is a pure vegetarian.

Well, does she mean to say that she is still seeing Shahid? Is Saif more than just good friend? A direct answer would surely stop rumourmongers from digging into her private life. It is the only way to stop further speculations!

Is Britney Spears is fit to be a Bar Girl

Is Britney Spears is fit to be a Bar Girl

Recently mirror reported that Britney spears applied for a bar maid job in London. I was thrilled and finally went on a big burst of laughing. Striptease Britney spears is now applying for bar maid job, how wonderful it is. I never thought such kind of job for Britney spears. Now my question is, Is Britney Spears is fit for a Bar Maid job?

If you ask me I will say no Britney spears is not fit to be a bar maid which needs lot of hard work and dedication. Dedication comes when you are having stable mind which is not there for Britney Spears. Britney spears reportedly kept under suicide watch after the loss of custody on Child to Kevin.

What do you people think? Is Britney Spears is fit to be a bar maid? Definitely Britney Spears cannot work as a bar maid in India that too particularly in Mumbai where Bar girls are banned. But if she gets through the job, she will be the first sexiest barmaid in the world.

Salty Coffee

Salty Coffee

He met her at a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he so normal, nobody paid Attention to him. At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him, she was surprised, but due to being polite, she promised. They sat in a nice coffee Shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, she thought, please; let me go home.... suddenly he asked the waiter.

"Would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee." Everybody stared at him, so strange! His face turned red, but still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it. She asked him curiously; why you have this hobby? He replied: "when I was a little boy, I was living near the sea, I like playing in the sea, and I could Feel the taste of the sea, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my Hometown, I miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who are still living there". While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched.

That's his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has Responsibility of home. Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family. That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story.

They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such A good person but she almost missed him! Thanks to his salty coffee! Then the story was just like every beautiful love story, the princess married to the prince, and then they were living the happy life... And, every Time she made coffee for him; she put some salt in the coffee, as she knew that's the way he liked it.

After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said: "My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life lie. This was the only lie I said To you---the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt. It was hard for me to change So I just went ahead.I never thought that could be the start of our communication! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I Was too afraid to do that, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything... Now I'm dying, I afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don't like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste... But I have had the salty Coffee for my whole life!

www.desiclub.com/6F679592.jpg5. Helen: Born in Burma on October 21, 1939 Helen Richardson, currently known as Helen Khan (Salman Khan's stepmother), is the ultimate rags to riches story. She's an Anglo-Indian refugee from Burma, who as a child made a courageous trek to India with her mother to escape Burma's occupation during World War II. While in India, her mother's income as a nurse could not make ends meet so she quit school and entered Bollywood films as a backup dancer. She soon was recognized for her amazing dance talent and gained the title of Bollywood's Queen of Item numbers. Every film she danced in was a mega success. Helen also acted, playing the paradox to traditional looking Indian actresses because of her western looks. Some of her most memorable songs are "Mera Naam Chin Chin Choo" (Howdah Bridge, 1958) and "Suku, Suku" in "Junglee" (1961). With Asha Bhonsle's help, Helen became immortal in chart busters like "Piya Tu Ab To Aaja" (Caravan, 1971), "Oh Haseena Zulfonwali" (Teesri Manzil, 1966) "Aao Na Gale Lagao Na" (Mere Jeevan Saathi, 1972) and the sizzling dance number "Yeh Mera Dil Pyar Ka Diwana" (Don, 1978). She also appeared in "Sholay" with her classic dance number in "Mehbooba Mehbooba" as the seductive gypsy dancer.

Why She's Sexy: Helen is sexy because she wore revealing skin tight outfits while she danced and always wore flesh toned body suits, for modesty. She never came across as vulgar or crass and exuded sex appeal without compromising herself. Helen always stood out from other Bollywood icons because of her toned figure, especially since most actresses were more voluptuous. In her time, she was a true femme fatale and is considered the Marilyn Monroe of India.

www.desiclub.com/6FB8BB09.jpg1. Zeenat Aman: Born on November 19, 1950 in Germany, Zeenat Aman is the archetypal cosmopolitan Bollywood sex symbol. Her luscious body and blistering screen presence made her Bollywood's object of erotic fantasies. She spent some time in California on an academic scholarship, then later returned to India as a journalist to work for Femina India magazine. Her co-workers encouraged her to enter the Femina India Beauty pageant, which she not only won but also succeeded in winning the Miss Asia Pacific title in 1970, making her the first ever South Asian winner. After winning both titles, Zeenat Aman's breakthrough film, "Hare Rama, Hare Krishna" (1972) with Dev Anand catapulted her to super stardom. Her role as a pot smoking, cynical hippie who slept with her boyfriend shocked audiences in the 70's. Zeenat Aman was proof the sexual revolution hit 1970's India. Why She's Sexy: Zeenat Aman IS SEXY. Looking at her, you'll know why she's number one on this list. She also made waves appearing in a super sexy Bikini in "Qurbaani" (1981), which was never seen before in mainstream Bollywood films.

Her Impact on Bollywood: Even though she exuded mass sex appeal, to simply dismiss her as all looks and no substance is drastically wrong. She chose roles that differed from the traditional martyr type, by playing a woman who leaves her jobless boyfriend for a millionaire in "Roti Kapda Aur Makaan" (1974) with Manoj Kapoor, a career minded woman who considers abortion in "Ajnabee" (1974) with Shashi Kapoor, a vengeance seeking woman that can give Uma Thurman an run for her money in "Don" (1978) with Amithabh Bachchan and also in "Satyam Shivam Sundaram" (1978) with Shashi Kapoor as the partially disfigured Rupa. Seeing Through Change

Seeing Through Change

During a consultation with an optometrist you will put your face against a machine called an auto-refractor. The doctor will flip various lenses in front of each eye asking constantly, "Does this make it clearer or worse?"

The application of the metaphor comes easily. We'll just use a Life Chart instead of an eye chart. Does your job make your ability to see what is really important, clearer or worse? Flip. Did your parents make your vision of the world clearer or worse? Flip. How about the lens of education? Flip. What contribution has your marriage made to your vision? Flip. How about the promotion you got last year? Flip. Your own heart attack? Flip. What did going through the re-engineering project do to you? Flip.

Change is simply a combination of such lenses. These change lenses are positive factors in our lives only if we can see through them to something beyond the lens itself. If the lenses are smudged and dirty we start to focus on them rather than on what they were meant to reveal to us. We start to look at the lens rather than through it and end up in a lot of stress.

Many lenses are available to you. Accounting lenses and medical lenses. Lenses for artists and homemakers. A being laid off lens and a being hired lens. Another if you're a man and another if you are a woman. There is one for poverty and one for wealth. Not one of these lenses is an end in itself. Each is simply a viewpoint through which to get a glimpse of the landscape beyond. Change always reveals something beyond itself.

Some of the lenses of our lives make things clearer in the spiritual sense, while others fog and cloud both our out- sight and in-sight. We need to learn how to positively impact the ratio of the two.

It's a spiritual version of what the Endeavor astronauts had to do for the ailing Hubbell space telescope. In addition to installing gyroscopes to keep things in balance, they replaced the Wide Field Planetary Camera so the telescope could see and record things more clearly. That's what we
need -- a Wide Field Planetary Camera for our personal and corporate souls. Come to think of it, we may need a gyroscope too.

Change is the opportunity of a lifetime, learn to see through it.

London, (ANI): Angelina Jolie is set to have fans drooling after posing for a new photoshoot in nothing but a satin sheet. Touchy Ego

Touchy Ego

Only the ego can be touched. It is very touchy. If somebody just looks at you in a certain way, it is touched. He has not done anything. If somebody smiles a little, it is touched; if somebody just turns his head and does not look at you, it is touched. It is very touchy. It is like a wound, always open, green. You touch it and the pain arises. A single word, a single gesture the other may not even be aware of what he has done to you, but he has touched it.

And you always think the other is responsible, that he has wounded you. No, you carry your wound. With the ego your whole being is a wound. And you carry it around. Nobody is interested in hurting you, nobody is positively waiting to hurt you; everybody is engaged in safeguarding his own wound. Who has got the energy? But still it happens, because you are so ready to be wounded, so ready, just waiting on the brink for anything.

You cannot touch a man of Tao. Why? because there is no one to be touched. There is no wound. He is healthy, healed, whole. This word 'whole' is beautiful. The word 'heal' comes from 'whole', and the word 'holy' also comes from 'whole'. He is whole, healed, holy.

Be aware of your wound. Don't help it to grow, let it be healed; and it will be healed only when you move to the roots. The less the head, the more the wound will heal with no head there is no wound. Live a headless life. Move as a total being, and accept things.

Just for twenty-four hours, try it total acceptance, whatsoever happens. Someone insults you, accept it, don't react, and see what happens. Suddenly you will feel an energy flowing in you that you have not felt before. Somebody insults you: you feel weak, you feel disturbed, you start thinking of how to get your revenge. That man has hooked you, and now you will move round and round. For days, nights, months, even years, you will not be able to sleep, you will have bad dreams. People can waste their whole life over a small thing, just because someone insulted them.

Just look back into your past and you will remember a few things. You were a small child and the teacher in the class called you an idiot, and you still remember it and you feel resentment. Your father said something. Your parents have forgotten, and even if you remind them, they will not be able to remember it. Your mother looked at you in a certain way and since then the wound has been there. And it is still open, fresh; if anybody touches it, you will explode.

Don't help this wound to grow. Don't make this wound your soul. Go to the roots, be with the whole. For twenty-four hours, just twenty-four hours, try not to react, not to reject, whatsoever happens.

If someone pushes you and you fall to the ground fall! Then get up and go home. Don't do anything about it. If somebody hits you, bow down your head, accept it with gratitude. Go home, don't do anything, just for twenty-four hours. And you will know a new upsurge of energy that you have never known before, a new vitality arising from the roots. And once you know it, once you have tasted it, your life will be different. Then you will laugh at all the foolish things you have been doing, at all the resentments, reactions, revenges, with which you have been destroying yourself.

Nobody else can destroy you except you; nobody else can save you except you. You are the Judas and you are the Jesus.
