I will marry older man only if there is a good reason Bandini actress

I will marry older man only if there is a good reason Bandini actress

At 17, marriage is the last thing on her mind. But television actress Aasiya Kazi, who is married to a man almost thrice her age in the serial `Bandini`, says she would agree to marry an older man in real life but only if there is a good reason to do so.

`In real life, I will marry an older man and try and adjust only if there is a strong reason to do so. If my parents ask me to marry someone much older, I would first try and know why they are doing it and take a decision accordingly,` Aasiya told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

The Mumbai-based girl plays the role of Santu in NDTV Imagine`s `Bandini`. Set in a village in Gujarat, the story of the series revolves around Santu who is forced into a marriage of convenience with an elderly man, played by seasoned actor Ronit Roy.

Though Aasiya is young, she has a strong opinion on the issue being tackled through her debut show.

`As far as I have heard and I know, such marriages still take place in a lot of rural areas in our country and so it is a very real life-based story. But all I feel is that if parents do this for their vested interests, it`s very wrong,` she asserted.

Unlike most girls her age, who would prefer doing stylish and bubbly roles on small screen, Aasiya says she feels lucky to be playing Santu despite the fact that she has to wear saris, gold ornaments, sindoor and a bindi all the time.

`I gave auditions for this role without knowing too much about what I would be doing and got selected. When I was told about the story, it was not that I was apprehensive. In fact, I was very happy that I would get to do something new - a role that many girls of my age would not get to do. So I feel I was one of the luckier girls,` she said.

`I really enjoy wearing saris for my on-screen character. It is something different from what I wear regularly. I wear a lot of jeans and dresses on day-to-day basis, but sari isn`t something I wear all the time - that`s what makes it fun,` she added.

`Bandini` is from the Balaji Telefilms stable and Aasiya, who is in Class 11 and studying Arts and Humanities, says it`s `more than a dream to be working with Balaji Telefilms`.

`Since childhood I have loved watching mostly cartoons like `Tom and Jerry`. I used to watch serials with my mother. She liked to watch shows like `Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi` and other such shows by Balaji Telefilms. So after being a regular watcher of Balaji shows, it`s more than a dream to be working with the company,` she said.

Asked how comfortable she is working with Ronit Roy, Aasiya said: `Ronit Roy is really good as a person and really good as an actor. He is very helpful. He guides me all the time - if I get stuck with a scene, he helps me in doing it right and corrects me if I am wrong,` she said.

Aasiya stays in Mumbai with her family. Her father is a civil engineer and mother a homemaker.

Sreesanth bowled by Daisy bopanna

Looks like Daisy Bopanna bowled Sreesanth by the arrows of her Eyes. Daisy Bopanna the new comer in Bollywood but a old face in the modelling world claims that Sreesanth is waiting for an answer from her. Will Sreesanth gets an answer from Daisy Bopanna? If Sreesanth gets an answer from Daisy Bopanna it will be a big boost for him since he is out of IPL session two due to injury. When asked Daisy, she said she will not tell about it to us.

Daisy Bopanna who was chased by John Abraham and Akshay Kumar in Garam Masala, meet Sreesanth in an Adveritisement shooting in kerala. That Ad Film made both Sreesanth and Daisy Bopanna to become friends and both are in constant touch after that. Daisy now revealed that both SreeSanth and Daisy are more than just friends... hmm there it is, the cat is coming out of the flock.

When the reporters asked to explain the relationship Daisy said, Sreesanth is a funny (which we saw with his dance in south africa) and nice guy. Sreesanth is totally a Ladies man (:)) who is the loverboy for all ladies. Everyone knows the relationship between Sreesanth and Priyanka chopra some time back and we even gave a post on a chat between priyanka chopra and Sreesanth over the phone which was leaked online. After that the list of ladies whom Sreesanth dated went like a hanuman`s tail. There was this TV anchor shonali Nagrani whom he meet during the first session of IPL (Now we got the answers why Harbajan Singh Slapped Sreesanth in public). Then he flirted with actress Surveen chawla in a reality show.

So what happened in the Ad film, daisy Explains that, the ad film requires a Indian cricket team bowler (sreesanth) need to propose to a Girl(Daisy Bopanna) with a single Red Rose and waits for her answer. but even after the end of the film shooting Sreesanth walked over her and proposed and is now waiting for an answer from DAisy Bopoanna.

Pasanga wonderful film about the wonder years

Pasanga wonderful film about the wonder years

Film: Pasanga; Cast: Sriram, Kishore, Vimal, Vega; Music: James Vasanthan; Cinematography: Prem Kumar; Direction: Pandiraj; Rating: ***1/2

After the success of its debut venture `Subramaniapuram`, Company Productions have come up with another lovely film in `Pasanga` (children).

Debutant director Pandiraj has exhibited a sound understanding over the medium and has extracted work of high quality from his star cast dominated by adolescents.

Set in a rural setting of a government run school, the movie deals with the pangs of growing up and puppy love narrated with oodles of humour.

A young school bully Jeeva (Sriram) is surprised by the spunk in a new classmate Anbu (Kishore) who has shifted to the government-owned school from a private institution following his father`s downturn in fortunes.``
`
The studious Anbu goes on to win the heart of the bully`s sister played by Keerthana and the entire class with his helping nature in solving problems - within and beyond the curriculum.

And then there is the adult love interest in the form of trysts between Anbu`s uncle Meenakshisundaram (Vimal) and Jeeva`s elder sibling and school teacher (portrayed brilliantly by Vega).

The mix of characters established through a neat screenplay in different shades and shapes are neatly bound together during the simple but moving climax leaving a lovable lump in the throat.

Vega has improved tremendously after her first outing. The rest of the cast - all real life schoolchildren - are splendid amidst the rustic background filmed wonderfully by Prem Kumar.

James Vasanthan excels through his musical score, according a nice feel to the proceedings. A song by veteran crooner M. Balamuralikrishna is a feather in an otherwise crowded cap.
